Parker vs Sanders

Postby Bulletproof » Sun Apr 23, 2017 7:57 pm

Currently own Parker, but looking to win now. Have an offer on the table for Emmanuel Sanders straight up. Owner isn't willing to give more. Think I should take it? PPR, 2 WR, 2 Flex
12 Team Superflex Best Ball PPR TEP +1.5
QB: Lawrence, Kyler Murray, O’Connell
RB: Gibbs, Etienne, Javonte Williams, Chase Brown
WR: London, Tank Dell, Pickens JSN, Michael Wilson, Quentin Johnston
TE: McBride, Dulcich

Tough call. If you're competing, I can see going with Sanders, but I'd ask for more in return.

I'll stay with Parker. Unless you're starting 5 WRs in a VERY deep league, Sanders isn't going to be an every week, key WR cog of championship lineups. So I'll take the career upside shot on Parker.

I would keep Parker. Like Lukky said, Sanders, while a solid starter, is not a player that will put a team over the top in most leagues.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Parker for me too. Think they likely produce about the same numbers this year but after that, the normal age progression should have Parker well ahead.

Parker side for me. That is only because of his age and I favor the HC situation with Gase.

I'm sorry but I just don't get the Parker obsession anymore. He's a vertical WR with a weak-armed QB, the team continues to add pieces at his position, and he's never done anything more than flash. Sanders has finished at WR5 (obviously not going to happen again), WR18, WR21 the past three years, and gets an OC back who loves to throw. The age cliff isn't nearly the same for WR's as RB's, so 30 doesn't bother with a guy who doesn't have a long injury history. Don't get me wrong, I understand Parker's appeal at certain price points, but trading production for lottery tickets is a fast track to 7th and 8th place finishes. If you want to sell Sanders, do it in week 5 or 6, not now.

That age cliff, via statistics, is 32 for WR.

Yeah win now I'd go with Sanders. Never been a fan of Parker yet he gets hyped up. I'd see what you can get for Parker for Fitz, Tate, Edelman, Crabtree, and Nelson. Maybe a few others I didn't mention but I'm sure theres a rebuilding team in there somewhere there.
48 team, 4 copy league, QB, RB, WR, WR, TE, SF, 4 flex
QB - Wentz, Tannehill, Mayfield, Jones, Alex Smith
RB - Chubb, Hunt, Swift, Akers, Henderson, Mostert, Mack, Bowden, Hill
WR - AJ Brown, DJ Moore, Gabriel Davis, Slayton, Hamler, Isabella
TE - Fant, Burton, Firkser, Keene, Okuegbunam
2021 Draft - 1.09, 3rd

Sanders will be 30 midway through this upcoming year, which by your measure gives him 2-3 more years of production. I've also seen that number disputed recently, but give me 2 more top 24 years over the guy who's own coach, in both public words and actions, doesn't believe in him.
