Shepard or mid 1st?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Shepard or mid 1st?

Postby CharlieKelly » Sun Apr 23, 2017 8:26 am

16 team PPR league with small lineups (1QB / 1RB / 2WR / 1TE / 1flex)

I give: Shepard

I get: 1.08

RBs - Howard, James White
WRs - Evans, Jordy, Diggs, Shepard, White

Thoughts? I know it's rookie fever time but pick 1.08 doesn't historically have that high of a hit rate.

Could go either way. I still like Shep a lot and thought he had a good rookie year and moving him into the slot I think helps his value. But this is more of the fact that I am not sold on what is available at the 1.08, JuJu, John Ross, or the TE's... meh I'd take a shot on Shep but can understand going either way as 1.07 and 1.08 can be a spot that one of the top 6 get pushed into if anyone falls to a poor situation. So I understand wanting the pick.

I think value wise if you want to flip 1.08 you can get more than Shepard when that pick is on the clock.

I prefer the 1.08. I don't ever see Shepard being anything more than a WR3, which isn't a bad thing, but I'll take my chances with the rookie and hope to hit on someone with more upside.

If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

I like Shepard but would move him for the 1.08 in this draft.
