1.01 vs Diggs++

Postby Kramer » Fri Apr 21, 2017 1:26 pm

Superflex team 1 in sig. I'll start this off by saying the other owner will probably see this post.

He's been wanting the top pick and been making offers. Here are the main pieces on his team:

QB: Matt Ryan, Wentz, Tannehill, Goff
RB: Freeman, Miller, Crowell, Tevin Coleman
WR: AJ Green, Julio, Cooper, Devante Parker, Benjamin, Diggs
TE: Ebron
Picks: 1.02, 1.06, 1.09

He offered Diggs, 1.06, 1.09 for the top pick, but in a ten team league where studs rule, that feels light to me. What's a good counter to make for my team?

I wouldn't add a top 6 pick to Diggs to get 1.01, personally. I don't think there's a Zeke to the Cowboys type scenario out there this season.

Since the other owner will see this, I'll go with 1.01 and NOT close!!

J/K...it's sort of close, but I'm not huge on Diggs so I'd want a better piece included.

Yeah, this is what I was thinking too. I don't really have pieces to build around at WR yet and Diggs and the 1sts seem too risky to be building blocks. I think I would have a better shot at seeing if a better offer pops up or if a fournette has a good game or two and then sell for a proven stud. Wanted to see what the community thought though.

For those in the side of 1.01 like me, what needs to be added to tilt it to the other side? Not just for value, but for the betterment of my team as well.

If you like Diggs its pretty fair. I would look at the roster and see if there was another prospect I liked better than diggs.

I listed his roster in the first post, but the only other prospects he has are Devante Parker and then he has Kelvin Benjamin. He also has his 18 1st too, so that may be an option.

Maybe take out the 1.09 and add T. Coleman or Crowell to Diggs and the 1.06? Or try Miller and 1.06. Just throwing ideas out there that might be fair for the 1.01.

But is it even in my interest to do a "fair" trade? Why not ask for a lot and hope someone pays it? Wouldn't it be better to grab a stud or package the top pick with another piece for a stud instead?

I wouldn't blame you for wanting an overpay for the 1.01. If that's the case, keep the original deal and add to that, or take Diggs or the 1.09 out and ask for a much better piece.

At some point, I need to consolidate my WRs though. I can't start all of them. Still torn over what to do. Ugh

I like the Diggs 1.06 1.09 side by a lot, unless you are a true LF truther

1.01 for me. I would just take Fournette at 1.01 unless blown away by an offer.

Seems like a pretty fair offer.

You could always wait for Diggs to have an awesome first 2-4 games and then sell. Because we all know he can't do anything after the first 2-4 games of a season 😊
