Give Reed, 2.4, 2.8 GET Ertz, Jordan Matthews, Rawls?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Give Reed, 2.4, 2.8 GET Ertz, Jordan Matthews, Rawls?

Postby mullmania » Fri Apr 21, 2017 7:15 am

think Reed is the best player in the deal and it's a TE premy with a yardage premium but he also has an injury history.

I don't love JMatt or Ertz with the new wrs in Philly but it would be a decent TE replacement and another younger depth WR for my team lacking options.

Rawls is decent value for the 2.8 in my mind and some Lacy insurance.

This owner has been hot after my Reed. Should I consider this or hold pat?

Rivers, A. Smith
Lacy, Forte-Powell, Riddick, Jennings, CAP
Keenan, Golden, DJax, Tavon, Kerley, Mike Floyd, K Wright,
Reed-Vernon, Jack Doyle, L. Green, V. McDonald

Taxi-Mitchell, Roger Lewis,

1.4, 2.4, 2.8, 5.4

I think the value is there, but I'd look to flip Jmatt after making the trade.

Reed = JMatt to some, not me
2.4 = Rawls
2.8 << Ertz

Like Goddard said, value is there to make the trade. If it was me however, if I make this trade I want to have a JMatt trade in place shortly after if not before.

If you move Reed you are giving up more than you are getting IMO. and on the other comments about flipping J Matt are you sure you can do that? Some of the leagues I'm in either do not have very many trades and/or what is being asked or offered is totally unrealistic. I believe you have to like the trade as is or don't do it. Good Luck

I'm way down on JMatt and Rawls. Ertz is okay but personally, I wouldn't make that deal. It could backfire if Reed suffers his 263,648th concussion but I'm willing to take that chance. I'd rather have Reed than any of the pieces offered

Thanks guys. I agree it's Reed for me.

Value is ok, and I understand the point of view from the person offering it to me, but I'm gonna hold.

Add me to the Reed side. In a TE premium you will be pulling your hair out to replace him.

Before you fall in love with Ertz keep in mind they had basically no run game and no WR help so he saw a lot of targets.

In a TE premium Ertz is no slouch. Season long (including his week 17 monster game) he was the TE4 in my premium league, with Reed being the TE 8. Ertz scored within one point per game compared to Reed (15.9 vs. 16.8). The fact you can get JMatt in this deal is a good move. There are rumblings the Eagles should trade him, and if so you might get two quality pass catchers on two teams instead of two on one young team vying for targets. I'd make this trade all day. Reed's next concussion could be his last. He's a great talent, but there are a lot of mouths to feed on that offense too.

Drop the 2.4 and Rawls completely out of this deal and it looks better. Reed is the best piece in the deal but I'm not paying anything at all for the #3 RB in Seattle (and that assumes Collins doesn't overtake him).
