Zeke, 3.5, 5.6 for 1.03+ 4 2018 Firsts

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Zeke, 3.5, 5.6 for 1.03+ 4 2018 Firsts

Postby Golly Dagger » Tue Apr 04, 2017 9:46 am

Got offered this today. Feeling inclined to decline, but the prospects of Zeke with my lineup are enticing. Leaves me empty in draft capital for a while, but is the potential for my lineup too good to pass up?

I would see what you would have to add to Gurley in order to get Zeke before shipping out 5 1sts for him.

I did go that route, he wanted Gurley and 3 2018 firsts. I didn't find that worth it. Probably important to note that of the 2018 fists, one may be early, the rest are mid-late by my projections.

The Zeke owner is obviously not as high on TG as some are.

I would probably look to pull out either the 1.03 , or the early '18 1st and hold tight.

FWIW I recently traded Fournette/Corey Davis/1.05 (devy league so value is more like 1.10-1.12) for Zeke.

Yeah, he's low on him for sure.

This is good perspective, thanks.

First offer is too much and the Gurley one is ridiculous

If you want EE then offer TG+1.03 and a 2018 1st

That would be a win-now move. The pick side could add more value to your team, not until after next year's picks develop. I would try to remove the earliest 2018 pick, but if he refuses, you are going to have to decide whether you're going all in or not. With those shallow starting rosters, studs rule. However, you could put 1-3 studs on your team over this year and next with those picks.

so zeke for (1) cook davis or fournette - (2) guice sutton or barkley - (3) st brown or chubb -( 4 & 5) darnold - cain - royce freeman james washington . Just guess work at this stage but you get the point Zeke is terrific but I would pass !
getting 4 #1's for a primo wr is a helluva haul but 5 for a rb is ridiculous .

and including gurley in the deal defeats the purpose of acquiring zeke, as the only way I move a bunch of ones is to have 2 rb1 types not just an rb1 upgrade.

Having Zeke is always really nice, and with that league setup, even nicer, but moving all of your draft capital and essentially being one injury or under performance away from that championship team not looking nearly as nice leads me to lean toward keeping the 5 firsts.
