Big Offer For D Johnson

Postby Payton34 » Thu Mar 30, 2017 11:59 am

Team in my signature... 12 team league... Non PPR... Can start 1-3 RBs (If you play 3 RBs, you only play 2 WRs)...

I am thinking of offering Lamar Miller, Sammy Watkins and Keenan Allen for David Johnson...

I believe that all three players I am giving up are high risk/high reward types and I feel my team is in a position to overpay here... Have a feeling Lamar Miller is going to find himself with a little competition in the backfield this upcoming season, Watkins can't get healthy and Allen can't stay healthy... Yes, all three could also be studs potentially...

From my perspective, I would have the ability to trot out Elliott, Bell and Johnson as my RB trio which is sick, sick, sick... And I'd still have Jordy, Hopkins, Moncrief and the other two Charger WRs to choose from for my two starters each week.

Throw in that I have the 2nd and 3rd overall picks this year and I could potentially take the top two WRs, or a RB and WR or whatever...

As the DJ owner, would you accept this offer and am I stupid for even thinking of offering it?
12 teams, 6pts all TDs, 1/2 pt PPR. 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D, 2 FLEX RB/WR/TE

QBs - P Mahomes,
RBs - Bijan, J Jacobs, K Walker, B Hall,
WRs - AJ Brown, J Waddle, DJ Moore, T Higgins, D London, Smith-Njigba, J Downs, AT Perry
TEs - D Kincaid, Musgrave
Ks - Boswell, McPherson
Ds - Texans, Jets

2024 - 3 1st rounders... Picks 1.5, 1.7, 1.11… 1 2nd 2.17… 1 3rd 3.31…

I think I would stick with what I have. Your WRs are solid, but they aren't exactly stacked. I would leave them the way they are and be happy with Zeke, Bell and Miller. Your team is really good as is

I know you are tempted to grab DJ if possible to pair with Zeke & Bell but in your situation I would rather run out Zeke/Bell with Watkins/Nuke/Nelson and have Miller/Allen as depth & bye week guys.
Too many teams to list here...

Non PPR means Sammy and Keenan have depressed values but so too does DJ then.

You have the 1.2 and 1.3 picks? Just draft the leftover RB and top WR of the 2017 class and laugh your way to the bank with an absurd embarrassment of riches.

Your WRs take too huge a hit with Keenan and Sammy gone.

See if you can swap Watkins or Keenan with Moncrief.

I would try this...if not I'd probably hold off. Although that 3-headed monster of Zeke Bell and DJ would be sick

With how stacked your team is going into next year I'd be keeping young wrs over another stud rb. Keep your domination going longer.

I agree try this or hold. I am odd man out on Watkins (can't stay on the field on a mediocre team). DJ is a stud and Zeke seems to be making a bunch of poor decisions. Hopefully he keeps it together. He is a young man still, but DJ gets it. Good luck.

Do it! Maybe try get a little something back. I'm not a Watkins or Allen believer, they're both ALWAYS injured, potential! potential! Guess what Johnson has already reached the potential you're looking for. Miller is a good mid to hi RB2. If you want Johnson then get him. If Bell, Zeke, and Johnson stay healthy you'll literally be running over team (pun intended)
