This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I don't have any insight to your question, but with reports Philly is looking to trade JMatt, wouldn't it make sense to hold until his situation solidifies? Unless you want to buy low of course. I figure his value can only go up if he gets traded (unless he goes to Cleveland or a handful of other bad situations). Right now, with the addition of Alshon and Torrey Smith, his perceived value has to be low, right?

I viewed his value going up with Jeffery and Smith there to open the field , I don't see Smith as anything more than a speed burner to open the field and about the same as every other WR3 or 4 on other teams he isn't going to get a lot of targets.. Jeffery JMatt should be maybe like a Nelson Cobb from a couple years ago

^^ This. Ive gotten about 9 low ball offers today for Jmatt, which tells me I'm not the only one thinking this.
All my teams suck. And I'm not in your league.

I'm a former Matthews enthusiast but this isn't really good for him. He flourished year 1 as a 1B to Maclin in a pretty good Chip Kelly offense. Year 2 he didn't really build upon his numbers as the bonafide #1, and then last year wasn't really good with a rookie QB. He's not a WR1 that we hoped for. He's a slot receiver with very limited upside. I'd sell now even though his value is low, because it's only going to get lower in my opinion.

As for Alshon, I think it was pretty good for him overall. The 1 year deal also means he going to be motivated since he bet on himself, so he could see an increase in value in my opinion.

So what you are saying is he is kinda like Adams not a true #1 WR , Adams was horrible last year with the best QB in football because Nelson missed the year , You kinda proved my point with Maclin there JMatt was pretty good even without a good QB because he had someone to open the D..

What I am saying is Wentz should improve and Jeffery should help him out like Nelson does for Adams or did for Cobb... There are enough passes to go around for JMatt to put up Cobb 2014 numbers but it was kinda hard for JMatt to do that with no one on the team to take up coverage or to open up the middle of the field plus a rookie QB that will improve..

I recommend no one sell JMatt low I wouldn't sell less than a 1.04 now

I like the fact that Alshon will be on the field with a lot better options for the defense to have to worry about, and that he's playing on a one-year deal. JMatt's floor remains similar but he can't grow into the #1 that many hoped he would now that Alshon is there.

Some people did after his rookie year, and apparently so did Philly when they tried him outside. I'm with you, but like lukky said, I think Alshon hurts JMatt's ceiling. Last season he had 117 targets but only went 73/804/3, and that was when he was supposedly the lead dog. You think he improves on that with Alshon?

It's definitely not great for J-Matt. Maybe his efficiency increases but Philly threw the ball 609 times last year, which was 6th in the NFL. J-Matt had 114 targets in 14 games. Assuming Alshon plays 16 games, Ertz plays 16 games, I have a hard time seeing J-Matt get 130 targets. Mainly because I'd kind of be surprised if Philly threw 600 times again. So assuming they dip down to league average, I just don't see the opportunity for J-Matt. I also have my doubts about Wentz being able to support 2 WR's and a TE for fantasy, so somebody has to suffer.

Like I said its kinda had getting open and running after the catch when you are the only WR Ds are worried about , Plus he played with a rookie QB that was hurt most of the year and oh yeah JMatt missed 2 1/2 games..

Maybe it is just me but I want more for him now than yesterday and with my WRs I don't have to rush it so if someone wants him they have to pay

He's going to be competing with Ertz for the middle of the field targets which lowers his ceiling again.

Alshon should earn his value as a red zone target. I recall many missed opportunities for DGB on jump balls and fades that Alshon should feast on.

Jeffery 140
Ertz 110
RBs 100
WR3 80
WR4 40

Is about 470 targets it leaves around 130 targets for JMatt give or take 10 if they get their 600 again but with Wentz going into year two a little more healthy and the offence being better I can see around 625 pass attempts.

Not to much we can do but wait and see , If you feel he won't be as good sell now but I am holding

I'm going to hold him for now. I don't see Philly selling him for cheap and neither will I. Alshon has to prove he can play 16 games, and Smith is who he is. A boom or bust deep option to stretch the field. He won't eat every week. The real losers of this deal are Agholor & DGB. Matthews has another year with Wentz & Pederson and hopefully he will stay healthy too. Probably will never be a WR1, but I have to start 3 WR's in my league. He makes a solid bye week or injury fill in for me.
