Just got offered 1.01 for A. Robinson

I'm high on Robinson but think 1.01 is more valuable. He's currently my best player on a newly acquired 12-team orphan. Would consider flipping this for multiple firsts.

I'd take the 1.01 over Arob, but I've never been an Arob believer. I expected to click on this and see everyone to be on the Arob side, very interesting to see the value adjust to what I think it should have been to begin with.

1.01 may be more valuable now but ARob will be more valuable when he rebounds (well, if Bortles can pull his head out of his butt that is).

Is ARob's value that deflated and the 1.01 that inflated right now? The hype is out of control! Haha everyone wants the next Zeke...But how many teams will be able to give Fournette the situation Zeke ended up in?

I personally think it's close, but this would have been viewed as pretty lopsided to the ARob side last year at this time. It's wild how much values fluctuate every year.

I'll take the 1.01 here. People always talk about how overvalued picks are (and a lot of them are), but the 1.01 is almost never over inflated. It's the one pick that I feel comfortable valuing as a 1st round startup player.

How long has it been since the 1.01 was NOT carrying top 10 start-up value after their rookie season? Maybe if you took Tavon in the logjam that was the '13 class, but their were other 1.01 options that year that were 1st round startup players going into '14. In normal years when there's a 1-2 player 1st tier, you're going to end up with a top 10 dynasty asset for at least one season, which then gives you plenty of time to cash out if you're not a long-term believer.

'16 - Zeke, top 5 start-up player.
'15 - Gurley or Cooper - Both were hovering around the 10 range after that season.
'14 - Watkins/Evans - They didn't climb quite as high because the elite WR pool was still young, but I don't remember either dropping past 15 in a startup heading into '15.
'13 - No elite tier that year, odd class. Tavon was a bust, but guys like Gio/Lacy/Hopkins/Bell were top 10-20 players heading into '14
'12 - TRich/Martin - both were being drafted as high as 1.01 going into '13
'11- Julio/AJG. There was first year value loss with Ingram, but for the life of me I never understood why anyone was drafting Ingram over Julio/AJG

We have two elite RB prospects this year, and it's most likely that at least one of them are top 10 NFL picks. Barring catastrophic injury, you're going to have a player that the dynasty community values as a 1st round startup player going into '17. If you believe ARob will rebound and you want to stay with him, then no problems. I'm just saying that as over valued as rookie picks can be, the 1.01 specifically is a safer bet historically to carry 1st round startup value at season's end. Plus if you pay your cards right you have an opportunity to get a big overpay for the pick during the draft.

I just don't see (at least in my league) the crazy over pays that people say you can get for a 1.01 where Arob wouldn't be good enough value.

Tough one but leaning on ARob myself (proven albeit volatile player)..believe he will bounce back.
