Hyde vs multiple picks

Postby koenigfj » Wed Mar 01, 2017 2:09 am

12 team PPR league- have decent depth at RB , however right now Hyde would be starting RB for me. Looking to get some fresh blood for WR/TE.

Get: 2017 1.08 2017 2.08
Give: Hyde, 5.10

Think I can add something extra? (thinking about Malcolm Mitchell, Perriman)...any thoughts are welcome, pretty torn on this.

I voted for the picks because that's what I'd take for Hyde but I think you can likely get a bit higher pick for him. That what I think the posters below me will say.

would you change your perspective if this would look like

That is much closer, but for me I would want a higher first as the starting point. Hyde is an RB1 no doubt. Remember that he was the top prospect of his class, and if he can get in a full season with a half way decent team around him he should live up to that.

I am officially on the Hyde bandwagon. Traded Doctson and some picks for him last week. I would much rather have Hyde over the 1.8 and 2.8.

If I had Hyde I wouldn't take anything less than a 1.05?
Too many to list...

I'd offer up 1.5 probably. I'm not sure what rb you are going to get at 1.5 that walks into a starting role. Hyde's offense sucks, but he's the main carrier, young, and has proven he can run effectively at the NFL level. That's worth something.
He does get injured a lot...but if he didn't get injured a lot he'd easily be worth more than 1.5. It's the injuries that lower his value, not his talent.

This is far too much for me. I like Hyde as a nice 2 down runner but I like the RBs in the 1.5-1.7 range far more than Hyde due to their more complete games. Hyde issues include his injury history, bad OL, unknown QB situation, is practically worthless in the passing game, and has unknown future as a FA after 2017.
