Jordy for Alshon
Jordy for Alshon
Thoughts on if this could be a good trade? What else with jordy would be fair to give up to get Alshon?

Re: Jordy for Alshon
I would offer Jordy by himself and see if the Alshon owner is desparate for reliability and safety

Re: Jordy for Alshon
I think Alshon is worth Jordy and a 2018 1st or 2017 2nd personally the age difference is huge even given the injury issues and unknown of where Alshon is going. IMO.

This is a tough one. Jordy has the best QB throwing to him.

Re: Jordy for Alshon
But hes also aging with an aging QB and a couple of young WR's behind him. Alshon is only 27 and will be a free agent and has a chance to land on a super bowl contending team lacking a WR, New England. I like Alshon

Re: Jordy for Alshon
I would offer one for one straight up. Yes, Jordy isn't getting any younger and neither is Rodgers. But you really can't use Rodgers' age against him. That's ridiculous. The guy was on fire and is about as consistent as they come. Jordy is Rodgers' WR1 and is still able to put up (fantasy) WR1 numbers. I for one would be more concerned about injuries with Jordy than age.pierson242 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2017 1:54 pmBut hes also aging with an aging QB and a couple of young WR's behind him. Alshon on the other hands is a couple years younger and a FA. His status as a FA could be beneficial or detrimental to his value. Sure, he could go to a great team with a great QB. Or, he could go to a bottom feeder to be the "savior" and his value could plummet. I would also be concerned with injuries with Alshon as well.
I see Jordy out producing Alshon for the next season or two. I could see Alshon potentially out producing Jordy after that...assuming he lands somewhere that's not SF or CLE.

Re: Jordy for Alshon
Personally, I wouldn't add more than a late 2017 1st to the Jordy side. Think there's still a little too much value in the middle of the 1st this year to give up in addition to another year or two of good production from Jordy.
