Kelvin + ? = Cooks

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kelvin + ? = Cooks

Postby ramsey8582 » Sun Jan 22, 2017 5:04 pm

Team not in sig. Is Kelvin plus the 1.10 too much to pay for Brandin Cooks?

I think that is plenty. Maybe too much for me. How much longer does Brees have? How many more mouths will New Orleans have to feed?

Cooks by a lot. Cooks will be fine without Brees. Once he has a new QB he will get targeted like the top WR he is.

I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Cooks is 23 and has beasted 2 yrs in a row. KB is a decent WR but hes not a threat to take it 80yds to the house on every play and 1.10 is a lotto ticket. Cooks side easy.

Cooks and it's not close for me, but I am not a fan of Kelvin at all. I think he's a WR4 with some touchdown upside, his floor is just so low.

I'm not sure why there are people in this community who are still attributing Cooks value to the fact that he is playing with Drew Brees. He won the Biletnikoff award in a draft that featured Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins, and Odell Beckham Jr. Cooks is good because he is actually a talented WR. He will be fine regardless of the QB throwing him the ball. Everyone is down on him after posting posting back to back 75+/1100+/8+ stat lines. He and Kelvin aren't in the same class IMO. I'd personally prefer Cooks to Kelvin and the pick being honest.

Fair trade like the KB side! Has a great young quarterback. Cooks has an old quarter back and plays with so many targets.

Good time to buy low on Kelvin, But try to get more than the 1.10 added on.

I think KB is trash. The lotto ticket at 1.10 doesn't get me excited that those two assets can outscore Cooks..

As a KB beliver, I'd go with Cooks by a good margin, the entire boom or bust quote IMO is incredibly overblown.
In PPR as the WR 11 Cooks had 4 games with less than 10 points
For reference Adams WR9 5 games, Julio WR6 4 games, Odell WR4 4 games, the list goes on.

KB wasn't as good as his rookie season, took a big step backwards. Cooks is elite, so I stick w Cooks
