1.02 vs Hopkins+1.08+1.09

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

1.02 vs Hopkins+1.08+1.09

Postby spotxc » Thu Dec 29, 2016 7:20 pm

Which would you rather have in a 12 team ppr league where you start 2rb/3wr/1flex CONSIDERING these conditions

League values rbs pretty high. DJ sold for OBJ around week 4, Leveon sold for aj/demarco/1st right before he began playing from his suspension for reference

Current team with 1.02 has plenty of wr depth already(Watkins, Cooks, Cooper, Keenan, Baldwin, Cobb, Parker) but low on rbs..(Gurley, Yeldon, Crow, Henry)

You want the 1.02 to turn into someone like Hopkins. So obviously, take Hopkins.

As a Nuk owner, I'm very pleased with the unwavering faith in him.

That being said, I will try and likely fail to get the 1.1 offering him.

You defend the rb with trade values rather then the point scoring system. Easily nuk side by a landslide.

Plus Hopkins isn't looking top 5 wr anymore. More like top 10. Not so crazy when I think about it. Could be top 5-10 asset that's of more use/scarce for a top 15 asset and 2 late firsts. Where I have plenty of WRs already. Value wise yes but winning wise not sure

There are 3 rbs with far higher points than any wr in my league. They win championships, not an abundance of wrs

"Could be". You're trading a guy who has produced a 111/1521/11 line in the National Football League AND two 1st round picks, for a higher 1st round pick that "might" turn into a player that produces something similar to what Nuk has produced in the NFL...

This is insanity. It's one thing if you want to trade Hopkins by himself for the 1.01 or 1.02. While I still think that is crazy, I can at least understand the thought process. But Hopkins PLUS TWO 1sts? Insanity.

So my league is like this also! Top RB's are never available. They don't follow dynasty rules like other leagues do and most guys are more of redraft type players. Here is how I won:

1. Keep offering packages for top RB's (be the guy that everyone goes to 1st when they want to trade so if one shakes loose your in the bidding)
2. Buy backups like a mo-fo lol Washingtons, Bibbs,
3. Buy veteran producers: Think Gore/Forte and expect to fill in some injuries

You won't have to spend your prime WR capital to get those older guys and when injuries occur your capitalizing. I just traded up up up for the top WRs and am not stashing middle of the road talent b/c my league doesn't value them. As soon as a Crowder or Diggs flashes I move them to cash in

I've gone on record stating that I want this year's 1.01 over Hopkins and I'm not backing down from that. Having said that, this is just insane. It's basically getting Hopkins/1.09 just to move back 6 spots from 1.02 to 1.08.
