Odell or Keenan Allen + 1.03 + 2018 1st

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Odell or Keenan Allen + 1.03 + 2018 1st

Postby mtregoli » Tue Dec 27, 2016 6:07 pm

Considering offering Odell for this but wanted to make sure it wasn't ridiculous either way first. Reason being is that I own 1.01 already, and would additionally try and send Keenan for 1.02 (is this ridiculous as well) so that I have picks 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, 1.05, 1.07, 2.01, 2.02, & 2.12. (Team 2 in Sig) The guy I'm trading with obviously got 10th place in the league this season earning him 1.03 and doesn't look primed for any kind of breakout in 2018. Now obviously with Beckham he will be better but I'd realistically say a bottom 6 pick in 2018. Thanks

You need to be drug tested for even considering that. You're seriously thinking of trading one of the top WR's, for someone that is never healthy, and just those 2 picks?

Ok good that is what I thought but this league can be so tough to deal in I tend to overpay. I will re-consider a better deal.

While the other poster didn't like it much, I think it's worth considering.

It's obviously a question of how much you believe in Allen. I like him as a top 15-20 dynasty player. So him plus a top rookie pick and a future first. Seems like fair value to me. OBJ is just one guy and if you don't think Allen is a health risk, it seems like something worth considering.

Ok good to know. Some are very low on Keenan so in their eyes this is a huge overpay probobly but to me I would be trying to flip Keenan for 1.02 if possible (major if) but then this would look like (Cook + Williams + 2018 1st)

I would prefer obj, but I can see your argument on doing the trade. If you think you need to flip Allen for it to be worth it, do a three way trade ( I know fleaflicker allows it)

No way should you move OBJ for that. 1.02, 1.03, and a 2018 << OBJ Hyde is the piece that you should be looking at moving. 1.02 or 1.03 plus a mid level veteran for him would be reasonable.

It is worth considering. I am sorry to say this, but you have a very weak team, so pick have a little more value to you than they would a strong contending team.

I think people overrate OBJ. His and Keenans qb situation is similar with Rivers looking better at the end of his career than Manning does. I predict that the Giants will return more to the run in 2017. OBJ has more competition for targets with Sheppard there. He is also kinda long ball dependent, which is not great for a PPR league. Allen on the other hand is more consistent, when healthy, to me. I don't place them too far apart, so picking up additional picks would work for me.

I would make the trade, but try for a little more because the hype on OBJ is huge.

Lol...what sane owner is paying 1.02 or 1.03+ for Hyde?

To the question...I would keep OBJ and I say that as someone who is a huge Keenan fan.

I think you need to stop focusing on just picks. And instead focus on getting players for OBJ. Find someone who is down on players like Nuk or ARob. Don't get me wrong I like Allen quite a bit but you're taking on a lot of risk with him and unknown rookies. You need some retooling on that team but I like the picks you already have. If you can land a couple tier 2 WRs and picks for OBJ than great. If not go for a WR/RB combo and use your picks to help build.
