Not a chance. If you really need the RB depth you should be able to get a better RB than Matt Jones.

No way man. Hold Laquon and draft an RB in 2017, they'll be plenty of good ones available.

I'd consider it. I've got Treadwell and I'm starting to get concerned.....I know it's the long game in dynasty, but the dude is behind mediocre talents when his talent alone should have him starting.

I was contemplating making a move for Jones myself since I know his owner is looking to sell and I'm hurting at RB, but here's the thought I can't get out of my head:

With such a great crop of RBs entering the draft next year, there are going to be plenty of good to very good RBs available on Days 2 and 3. So why should the Redskins continue to fool around with Matt Jones, his inconsistency, and his fumbling issues when they can get a Gallman, a Perine, a Conner, etc.? This is a killer draft if you're looking for a solid, early down, between the tackles RB.

Now I'm not a Treadwell fan. The Vikings will kill his value. The fact that he's seeing very little playing time is a good example of the problems up there. It's taken them 4 freaking years to figure out that they need to utilize Patterson, so I think their conservative ways will stunt his growth. I'm all for moving him, but I agree that you can do better than Jones.

That's kind of where I'm at as well. Treadwell will play eventually, he will have good games eventually. His value will shoot up and you can sell him then.

Thanks for the input everyone. Looks like I'll be sitting on it for now. I didn't realise Matt Jones is rated so low. Even though he's the most 'natural' receiving talent from the last draft, I've seen some critical reviews of Laquon coming out of college and he may never work out in the NFL due in part to lacking speed. No attitude issues to speak of though, which is a big plus. Traditionally year 3 was the year for WRs to break out, but that has been earlier over the past 5 years, as early as first year, which makes it difficult to play the long game when I'm in dire need of starting RB help and think I'm ready to compete now and into the future. Unfortunately I tend to do well or middling to well, so it's annoying getting later draft picks despite no big time success. It's a frustrating middle ground. Looks like I'll ride Foster into the ground until he retires, but it looks as if he may have already lost the #1 job to Ajayi.

For what it is worth. My arch rival, enemy and friend is a Vikings fan who drafted Treadwell right ahead of me. I have been giving him crap about the very thing you mentioned. He says he has done a lot of research on this and the coach does not start rookies. I find this a little hard to believe because Diggs started last year and he was a rookie. Point being he assures me that this is a "how I run my team decision" more than Treadwell is a bust.

I am still leaning towards Treadwell being an average receiver (WR 20) when it finally all comes around for him. Vikings will never be a big passing team, so his usage will always be questionable and ceiling limited.

I don't like this trade for you. Your starting WR's are have been untrustworthy. Your up and coming WR has not really shown enough to trust them either. More the reason to keep them and give them some time. Treadwell will be more valuable to you in the long term. You would be buying high on Jones right now.

In defense of your trade proposal, I have been a defender of Jones as a fantasy asset all summer long. I like Jones, more for his offensive situation & opportunities than him being a stunning talent. Gurley is a stunning talent in a crappy situation with a lot of opportunities. Production wise, Jones is besting him. Good situation and a ton of touches is the key at RB because they are so quickly disposal.
