Trade for another RB or let it play out?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade for another RB or let it play out?

Postby Carpe Diem » Fri Jun 17, 2016 10:39 am

I'm looking to add another RB to my team due to a lot of ? Marks there. I feel good about Ingram but the rest are hard to trust. I was thinking of trying to acquire McCoy or someone along those lines. Any thoughts on moves I could make or reasons to hold?

QB: Cam, Brady
RB: Ingram, Gio, Rawls, Matt Jones, Crowell, Sims, J. Ferguson
WR: A. Brown, ARob, Cooks, Michael Floyd, Funchess, J. Janis, S. Coates, J.Gordon, Megatron, C. Peake, Michael Thomas (LA)
TE: Olsen, Ebron
Chiefs D
2017 picks: 1,2,2,5
0.20 PPR

You can definitely count on Ingram and Gio. If Rawls pans out you can replace Gio. If Jones pans out you have depth. Crowell is a nice bye week filler. I'd hold as I believe your RBs are fine.
12 Team (2014 Champ, 2016 2nd, 2021 Champ) 1.0 PPR, 1.5 TE, Superflex, Start 9, 1-2 QB, 2-4 RB, 3-4 WR, 1-3 TE

QB - J. Hurts, M. Stafford, K. Cousins

WR - D. Adams, DK Metcalf, A. Cooper, C. Ridley, R. Anderson, C. Davis, J. Jones
TE - M. Andrews, G. Kittle, M. Cox

You seem to have four running backs with the potential to be every week starters in a standard starting requirement league. As nearly all of them are young I would call that a strong group. If you can capilize on an owner giving you a sweet deal for an aging back I'd do that, but I wouldn't over pay for a safer back.

I would just stay with what you have, I don't see much of a reason to be too worried with the 4 you have, I think you'll be fine.

I would stay right where you are.. you have a great wr stable and plenty of upside at wr.. I would personally rather have prosise than rawls and see their value inverted right now.. but you have a solid team

I'd let it play out for now.

If you are unsure about RB depth, I would probably go for someone cheaper like Gore or handcuff Rawls.
QB: Cam Newton , R Wilson
RB: Langford, J Hill, G Bernard, Karlos Williams, Andre Ellington, Kadeem Carey
WR: Dez Bryant, Keenan Allen, T.Y Hilton, K Benjamin, K White, D Parker, P Dorsett, Travis Benjamin, Devin Smith, JJ Nelson, M Sanu
TE: T Kelce, L Green, M Bennett

As everyone else has said, the RBs you have are fine, so there's really no need to trade for a RB
Roster (12 team PPR - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 RB/WR/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF):

QB: Russell Wilson
RB: Saquon Barkley, Austin Ekeler, David Montgomery, Damien Harris, Nyheim Hines, David Johnson, Tony Pollard
WR: Tyreek Hill, Amari Cooper, Chris Godwin, OBJ, Curtis Samuel,
TE: Noah Fant, Robert Tonyan, David Njoku
K: Jason Sanders
DEF: New Orleans Saints
IR:
Taxi Squad: Tua Tagovailoa, Eno Benjamin, Keshawn Vaughn, Collin Johnson
2021 picks: 1.08, 4.08
2022 picks: 1, 2, 4

Your RBs look pretty damn solid to me. Trading for RBs in June is a scary proposition in most cases. I did just trade for 1.01, but I shipped Freeman in the deal.

Thanks guys, appreciate it, I guess I'm just overly worried about Rawls. Hoping I can have a solid RB2 each week out of the guys behind Ingram.
