Gronk for picks and Ladarius Green

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Gronk for picks and Ladarius Green

Postby acclizal » Thu Jun 16, 2016 5:07 pm

I am torn on this one. This is for the team in my signature

Deal is send Gronk

Get 2017 First, 2017 first, 2016 1.8, 2016 2.8 and Ladarius Green.

What do you guys think put the final touches on my rebuild and sell Gronk and own 1/2 the first round next year or keep Gronk and ride him into the playoffs this year? One of those picks should be around 3-6 and one should be a playoff team.

Let me know what you guys think.

Love Gronk for sure.. but 2 first next year, one this year.. then I'm high on Green in that offense.. don't think it's a bad move at all.

You'd have 6 2017 1sts next year.. that'd be awesome!

Do you want to compete this year? Your team looks like you should be a playoff team to say the least. If you are thinking about cashing-out on Gronk I doubt an offer like this will be offered to you again, this would be one to take if you think it's time.

If someone offered me that lot for my Gronk, I'd accept pretty quickly, whatever the state of my roster.

I'd take this deal. To me, I believe you will still be a competitive team whether or not if you keep or sell Gronk. WR is the pivotal position which will determine whether or not you can make a playoff run, being that 2 of your guys can either either end up in WR1 or WR3 territory (Parker/KB). This is also quite the haul for Gronk, and I agree Lat Green should do well in that offense.

1. If it were ever possible, this is it: a clear overpay for Gronk. Take the deal on value alone*.

2. Your team does look competitive, but I don't see it as a front-runner to win.

3. This trade, IMO, actually would HELP you win this year. Say that you do not make the trade and you are a borderline playoff team. It would be hard to get another elite player or two to make the push. By making this trade, you're still about a borderline playoff team (your stable of TEs is still fantastic)... AND you'd have all the ammo that you need to get multiple players to get over the hump.

*Exception: if you had bona fide studs everywhere and a full roster. Not the case here, though.

Not a Green fan at all but this is a solid offer for Gronk. You already have Ertz and Eifert so you can afford to lose Gronk and flip Green for someone else or another 2017 pick.

next years draft class appears to be very deep. with owning 6 picks after the deal I make it and run away knowing if I miss this year next year I will load up everywhere in the draft

That's a pretty good deal.
Could always trade for Reed or Olsen if you weren't comfortable w Green as starter.

I still have questions about Green, but you've got Eifert and Ertz on your bench so that's OK. And you get three 1st's as well in exchange for Gronk. It's hard to let a player of his stature go, but that's a pretty good return. Your roster can handle it, so I'd be inclined to make that trade.

Pretty reasonable offer at least. I would consider it seriously.

Take it and be very happy... With Eifert and Ertz already stabled, you have all the tools to suffice for the Gronk loss even if Green doesn't hit the ceiling we are all hoping for.. or if BigB goes down again..

and all those 1st rounders in next years draft class? beautiful thing my friend

Wow. This is an overpay but to acquire studs they need to be over payed for. Take it. Your team is good but I don't see it as a contender (top 2-4). In 2018-2019 your team should be a contender for years
