Who won this trade?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Yea I received conley and ware after I watched some film on them they both look awesome. Coates I think is overated and feel conley could become a big red zone target soon. Although alex smith is not appealing as his qb lol Iam also the charles owner and believe ware could take the torch if he goes down again and or retires.

I have Coates and Conley pretty close talent wise, even though they're a little different stylistically. Both have good speed, but Conley is a little more finesse while Coates is a little more power. However, I expect Coates to see better opportunity and better QB play in Pittsburgh with Martavis out for the season. Conley gets to work with Alex Smith who isn't a great fit for his skills, and Demarcus Robinson could surprise in KC on a less than loaded depth chart.

The RB's are both stashes I've liked for the last few years. While McKinnon has had COP touches for a couple seasons and looked good when given a chance, Ware bounced around the league a bit before landing in KC and earning a contract with his play after the loss of Charles. If we're talking non-ppr I prefer Ware in the short term, as I think he'll see some short yardage and goal line work this year (something AP or Asiata would handle in Minnesota). Ware isn't likely to catch many passes, but McKinnon will, so he gets the nod in PPR.

This is really close for me and I'm having a hard time deciding. Partly because it's difficult to predict how much play any of these guys will see. I suppose I'll go with McKinnon/Coates though, because I think Coates can do a reasonable Martavis impression and McKinnon would be great if anything were to happen to AP. Ware shares with West if Charles isn't 100% or gets injured, and Conley (though talented) isn't in a great situation with Smith at QB.

I thought that was a good breakdown too from Steamers :)
McKinnon stands out at me as the best player in the deal, and seems to be the clear next guy up in Minn. That being said, I also LOVED what Ware did last year (I kept a close watch - since I was a WEST owner lol) I just don't know which out of the Ware/West will be more valuable, that would be my only question mark about that side of deal. If we knew for sure Ware was the guy, then I would prefer him, but they did sign both guys there. Are you a Charles owner?

McKinnon & Coates for me.

McKinnon is next up if AP, who turned 31, gets hurt. Has a chance to be sold to a contender mid-season or help with a playoff push if that happens.

Coates has the best chance at his value greatly increasing, if he earns playing time and has a big game or 2 I'd be selling as quickly as possible to the highest bidder.

Coates side, from a pure value perspective:

Coates: in Pitt offense, has a chance to take touches from Wheaton / DHB if all goes well (big if)
McKinnon: Has independent value in deep leagues now, if anything happens to Peterson is better half of platoon

vs.

Conley: Equally talented to Coates but in a much worse offense that does not support multiple receivers
Ware: Unlikely to have stand alone value until Charles goes down, and then may just be the lesser in a platoon

I like the upside of the Coates side more, because if any of these "ifs" happen those players benefit more than Conley/Ware. Plus, I don't want to get that invested in the KC offense as long as Smith is there.

I'd prefer McKinnon to Ware, for sure. Conley has higher upside than Coates, but I think it's close
