prosise, dixon or henry

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

prosise, dixon or henry

Postby AlcoholEnthusiast » Sun May 01, 2016 11:56 am

who do you like post draft

henry has best pedigree, but it's henry

prosise has significantly better pedigree then dixon, and likely an easier time to get playing time.

dixon has pretty bad pedigree and is a part of a 6 part RBBC

who do you take and why?

Henry but it's close. Dixons ppr value could match Henry's first, second down and goal line production. However it could be Henry's backfield in 1 -2 years

Prosise for me. SEA found out they CAN pass the ball which is a win for him. Henry going to split with Murray, at least for awhile. Dixon should be the starter at BAL but there are so many backs there right now, anything could happen.

Agreed. Henry would be a FAR last out of the 3 for me. You're overthinking the BAL backfield. When healthy it's:
Forsett/Allen(Forsett for only 1 more year)

West

Taliaferro

Richardson

They will mix in Dixon as he's ready this year. If old man Forsett gets banged up, it will be ALL Allen and Dixon. Whether that happens this year or next, Dixon will show he is far more talented all around than Allen.

Rawls is no slouch in SEA, and although I'm not impressed with Collins, he is there, and some are impressed. Although, I should add I was in love with Prosise before he landed in SEA. So, he's a close 2 for me.

Then as I said, Henry is wayyyyy far away from those two. Even after DeMarco is an afterthought, Henry will still be going down easy in the backfield because he can't move laterally at all. And man he goes down surprisingly easy for a big man!

Good luck!

Well, one thing is for sure - questions like this will always get a wide range of responses!

For my money, the pick out of these 3 is Derrick Henry. It's another crowded backfield, but Tennessee apparently liked what they saw, and DeMarco hasn't proven to be terribly durable...it could be Henry's backfield by week 4. Plus, he's already the best short-yardage and goal-line back on that team.

I like Prosise in Seattle, but I have more concerns about usage there - as the previous poster said, Rawls is no slouch.

When it comes to Dixon, though, I don't think we can anoint any Baltimore RB as "the guy to own", so I'd be hesitant to invest too much in Dixon just yet. That backfield now includes T-Rich, Terrance West, Terrence Magee, Taliaferro, and Allen behind Forsett, who is presumably the starter for one more year. This kinda feels like the Ravens are just throwing RBs at the wall and seeing what sticks. I agree that most of these guys aren't real threats, but I'm personally not ready to bury Allen after just one year. I know others disagree, but I liked what I saw from him, and I kinda think the Ravens did too. They also have Taliaferro coming back from injury and he showed some effectiveness as a goal-line guy.

That being said, if you're a big believer in Dixon's talent, then trust your gut and go with him - I always prefer to draft talent over opportunity. I just have questions about both with him.

Easily Henry. No way I am taking either of the other two ahead of him. Draft pedigree is huge just a couple days after the end of the draft. You are way over thinking this on situation. Murray is going to lose that job very quickly. Henry was the clear #2 back on this class. Nothing has changed that.

Henry

Dixon
Procise

Don't love any of them, but I'd gamble on Henry long term.
