TE Premium League
I have the 1.01 and was wondering what the best option is, take BPA and if so is that Gronk because it's TE Premium or an elite wideout aka OBJ/Ab etc..?
Or do I trade back to the late first round and if so what can I expect as ROI?
Something like: 1.01 + 5th for. 1.10 + 3rd??

what's your goal?? OBJ has the most value in ppr (trade value) even over Gronkin TE premium based on owners in my ffpc leagues so you can't go wrong there. I generally prefer to move back during startups and either accumulate 3rd -8thish rd picks and go after year one or accumulate future 1sts.

I agree with the trade back. Move back in the first near the end and you will still get two real nice WRs. I would try for a 3rd on top of the other first you get for 1.01. Someone will be horny for OBJ or Gronk.

My goal is to get the best value. We have 10 player starting line ups QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, Flex, Flex, K, Def so I just want to get as much talent as possible. I think trading back is where I'm leaning. I'll let someone else fall in love with OBJ and I'll capitalize. If I were to do this what is reasonable to ask in return? I know 1.01 for late 1st and a third was mentioned, but is that realistic?? Would I have to throw in a later pick or should ask for that kind of value?

I'm in a 14 team TE premium PPR but I value beckham, Watkins, Evans, Hopkins, etc....slightly more cause of gronks extensive injury history. He's huge and that leaves you open for a lot of hits. Not to mention guys have publicly talked about going for his knees.

Look for the trade. Pays major dividends and makes the pick easier! I would go Gronk though. Position is such a pain every year to patch together a season and you waste roster spots trying to accumulate enough with upside. hardest position to get right every year ... except for the Gronk owner!

i think i would go with OBJ at number one...
you could trade down, but remember...the top guys will never come cheaper than during the startup... after the draft, if you want to acquire OBJ, you will likely have to give up 2 1sts plus a player like keenan allen.

I'd be looking to move back to 5 or 6 range and grab a 3 or 4. I think the difference at the top is so small you can still get a awesome wr1 and it's really only a choice of who you like up there. After obj/ab I think it's pretty much your opinion.

Re: 1.01 in Dynasty Start Up... What to do??
I don't like picking that high in a startup unless it's 2QB, and even then I prefer to be at the end of my tier break. Gronk is plug and play but I don't like picking someone who has previously missed significant time due to injuries with my 1.01 and just cringe each time he gets tackled low. Find out if anyone is willing to pay up for him and take it from there. Canvas then come back to the forum with options if any are tempting.
