Anyone counting on Adams improving his production is in for a wake-up call. Ahead of Julio? Maybe if Julio gets hurt.

Is another QB not an option?

I have another pick in the early 3rd and plan on taking a QB there. Rodgers, Wilson, Wentz, and Watson are all gone and I'm not in love with anyone else to take them here when I could have someone similar in the early 3rd.

Why? He's entering his 5th year and his prime. Hit his stride his 3rd year with 1,000 and 12 td's as the number 2 to Jordy. Then he took the mantle last year of being the #1 and hits 900 10 td's with mostly Hundley. Hundley was up there for worst "starting" qb in the league last year. TD's are obviously less predictable than anything, but if he stays healthy I think his floor is going to be around 1,000 yards.

If the argument is that he's not ready for defenses to key on him, I think he proved that wrong last year with Hundley. If it's that Rodgers spreads it around too much, the #1 with Rodgers always got opportunities, so I don't think that holds water either.

1. Allen
2. Julio
3. Adams

Tough call between Julio and Keenan but in a dynasty startup i'd have a hard time choosing Julio at the end of his career. As much as I hate to say it, I could see Julio having an Andre Johnson type end to his career where he fades really really hard.

You realize that Adams outscored Julio last year in ppg with Brett Hundley playing QB most of the year, right?

Now he moves into the #1 role while Julio has seen both his targets and production decline steadily over the last 3 years.

Julio is a distant 3rd here.

Allen is not only a PPR monster, but he is a first down machine IRL. In 2017 74/102 catches of his went for first downs.

Allen easily for me.

Did I wake up in some kind of bizarro world today? How are people talking about how Allen/Adams won't be able to keep up with Julio or have never been on his level? They literally both outscored him this year in ppg and are much younger to boot.

Allen's problem has always been staying on the field. Not on Jones' level? Julio put up 15.74ppg this year. Allen's last two seasons he put up 17.75ppg and 20.2ppg.

Julio was slightly ahead in our scoring system. I've said many a time that I already think we've seen Adams' ceiling. I'm not buying the "he'll do better with Rodgers" arguments that I see out there. Jordy was Rodgers' favorite receiver while Hundley didn't look to him near as often seeing his targets drop to little more than half of prior seasons. This could turn easily into a chicken or the egg discussion as to whether that was on Jordy or on Hundley. But I don't think Adams suddenly benefits from the return of Rodgers. The yardage gap between the two is huge and I'd much rather own a receiver who puts up a lot of yards rather than one who is so dependent on TDs.

Jaysof wrote: Sun May 20, 2018 1:07 pm How worried are you guys about Allen post-Rivers? Felipe has 2 years left on his deal IIRC and he's getting up there in age whereas Adams is basically tied to Aaron Rodgers for the next X years, which has the potential upside of double digit touchdowns for 4+ years.
Rivers is like what, a year or two older than Rodgers.

Id take Allen over both these guys, he looked like a stud this year and the offense continues to improve.

Theres no reason to think adams doesnt receive a larger portion of the targets. Possibly 150+???

Thats really only an extra targets or 2 a game. I'll Also add that i think adams is a little better making plays on the ball down the field than we realize right now.
