What can we realistically expect from Meredith this year and in the future?
He is coming of a severe knee injury and moving to the Saints. Likely to be the #2 option on his team this year.
Was Meredith productive 2 years ago due to the fact Chicago was behind in most games, had the QBs sling him the ball and was the de facto #1?

to answer the second question, yes, but he was capable of being a legit WR that helped him thrive while getting more looks and being the #1 by default. He isnt a legit WR1 but showed excellent skills at the NFL level as a WR. Saints rely on ground game and thomas is gonna get the bulk of air looks, so not enough to go around to support Meredith as more than a complimentary piece who will have some nice games but you wont know when they will be.
