Should I drop my TE’s?

Postby EaglesFly » Mon Sep 17, 2018 9:41 pm

Hey guys,

If you look at my team and starting req’s I don’t need to start a TE if I do I only can start one. So one rb which I have covered, but starting 3 pass catchers and a r/w/t flex. So my thoughts are Boyd, Williams, Moncrief, and other WRs are on the wire. How would you value Graham and Burton with those guys on the wire? Should I stay put or run with WRs and drop the te’s? Still early maybe stay put. Just wanted some thoughts. This is a 3 player keeper league.

If that's Mike Williams, I'd drop Graham for him.

I’d take mike Williams over any of those TEs, I’d be more pressed to keep graham as I don’t see the bears having enough offense to support Burton and currently Arob is looking like Tribs security blanket.

In a non premium TE league, where you do not have to start a TE, and you can only keep three players, there is zero reason to have Graham or Burton on your team. I cannot imagine a scenario where I would play either one. Load up on WR's and RB's.
Team One:
10 Team Salary Cap League w/ IDP - Est. 2018
2018: Champions!
2019: Champions!!
2020: 2nd Place
2021: Loss in Semis
2022: Champions!!!
.5 PPR/$200 budget
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/TE, 1 K, 2 DL, 2 LB, 2 DB, 3 DL/LB/DB

QB - Mahomes
RB - CMC, White, Sanders, Herbert, Foreman, McKinnon
WR - Diggs, Ridley, Godwin, KJ Osborn, Woods, Claypool, Campbell
TE - Kittle, Goedert, Gesicki
K - Bass
DL - Reddick, Jones, M. Sweat
LB - R. Smith, Wagner, Leonard, White, Perryman, Cashman
DB - Byard, Bell, Hobbs, Jenkins

2024: 3rd

Team Two:
DLF Advice Forum League
14 Team PPR SF/TE Premium (2PPR)
2020: 4th Place
2021: 2nd Place
1QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1SF, 2Flex
QB - Allen, Carr, Mayfield, Trask, Zappe
RB - Harris, Gibson, Herbert, K. Miller, C. Brown
WR - MT, G. Davis, Bourne, Skyy Moore, Reynolds, Shakir, A.T. Perry, C. Moore, Hinton
TE - Kittle, Andrews, Woods

2024: 1, 2, 3, 4

Yeah that was my thoughts also. But wasn’t sure as I drafted Graham in round 5 and thought he would be producing like he was with Brees but with Rodgers. Thanks for the input. I appreciate it!

Yes sorry. Just a habit to go to dynasty team advise after the league made a switch from full dynasty to 3man keeper. Thanks!

No worries! What do you think of the switch?

This is the first year of the change so we will see. The biggest thought was because we were expanding to 14 teams to start fresh and then the 3 man keeper is hopefully keep a turnover of players year to year but a mini dynasty feel.

I finally won the league last year and had many more ahead so I was bummed I had gained the starting lineup as;

Rodgers
Gurley, Drake
OJB, Robinson, Hopkins
Gronkowski

Since it’s redraft I have been pondering picking mike Williams up but not sure who to drop or who to trade a two for 1 and add Williams.
