1 keeper redraft league. Keeper is your 1st round pick if used. I currently have DJ but have pick 1.1, there are no limits on how many years a player can be kept. So, what's your thoughts?

Could you trade DJ?

If so, then you can get value from DJ while getting a comparable player in Barkley at 1.1.

I would have to claim him as my keeper to be able to trade him, at that point he uses my 1.1 slot. Cant have both, it's either keep DJ or get the 1.1 pick which would be Barkley.

I tend to be a proven-player-over-rookie guy, but I'd roll the dice on Barkley here. I think that DJ has peaked; I think that the Arizona offense will change and not afford him the same opportunities; and I wonder how many elite years he has left. So, I'd gamble on the rookie.

I'd go DJ here if given the choice. We've seen him put up big numbers in the past and should be fresh coming off essentially not playing last season. Also, that Cardinals offense essentially consists of only DJ and Fitz, meaning the volume should be there for him. Regardless of if they choose to start Bradford or Rosen, they'll want to establish the run and check down to DJ out of the backfield.

If you haven't already, I'd make sure to do some back channeling to see if Gurley, Bell or Zeke will be on the board at 1.01.

I don't care for rookies in redraft leagues (which this is... No idea why people play in one keeper leagues) no matter how good people think they could be.

Just throwing an option out there. You could keep 1.1 (Barkley), then trade Barkley for LOTS of assets (possibly get a stud for him as well).

how did you get Barkley so early in a redraft to keep him? lol

I agree with "pmart33" ….I would keep DJ because he has proven that he can put up big numbers while Barkley hasn't even set foot on an NFL field. Also, I think it's absurd that he's the highest paid back. I would even go as far as to say that I would rather have Hunt, Freeman or Gordon over him...for the simple fact that we know what they can do on the field...

Have you had your draft yet? Who did you go with?

Been thinking about this a lot recently and finally made a decision. You have one of the very few, elite players in the game. If you have one don’t give it up for a roll of the dice, even if the dice are crazy loaded in your favor. Still too much risk. I’m keeping Johnson. Also, if you have to declare before the draft and aren’t sure just drop him, you’re 1.1 you can always get him back.

Can you keep someone other than DJ and then since you have the 1.01 take DJ with that pick?

Edit: Never mind, just read that if you keep anyone they act as your first round pick. If that is the case, you keep DJ.
