Update: Kamara offer / Would you change anything?

Hi all,

first of all, a happy new year to you all and thanks for all the great advice in 2017 - it helped a great deal to make my team better. Reached the playoffs this year in my league, lost in 1st round though, due to the Kamara injury.

Now, I am wondering if I should just stay put during offseason or if I should try to make any moves during offseason. See my team and league settings in sig.

- 7 keeper league, right now: LF, Kamara, Nuk, Jones, Kelce, Watkins, Crowder (maybe Doctson)
- Have picks 1.06 and 1.07 in our rookie/free agent draft, no picks in round 2 and 3
- Goal is to compete next year, was this year's highest scoring team already

Would you stay put with this core? Or which move would you try to do? Was thinking for example to sell high on Kamara.

Any help highly appreciated. Thx.

Cheers
S

Without a pick in rounds 2 and 3 and it being only a 7 keeper league and not dynasty, I think trading back either that 1.6 or 1.7 pick (on the clock if there isn't a surprising player left there) to get multiples and fill out your lineup and 1st subs would be a good call

In a keeper league I think the value of elite talent is even more at a premium. With that in mind, Kamara is elite and should be held unless you are blown away with an offer. If not for the Kamara injury your odds of winning it all most have been high with that team. Why make changes?

With two picks you have a chance to strike gold again. You could put feelers out of Watkins, Crowder and Doctson for an upgrade, but no need to make a move here. You have the right team to win it all, now you just need luck and unfortunately you can't trade or draft the Lady.

What do you think of giving Kamara for Joe Mixon/Keenan Allen/2018 1.10?

IMO it’s a no brainer on the Mixon side. His talent hasn’t dropped off and I expect Cincy to transition fully to a running offense. Was this trade offered to you? Seems like an awful lot

Its in discussion. Kamara for Mixon/Allen, picks tbd, but not the 1.10. Its a 7 keeper league, where I'd basically hope that Mixon turns into Kamara 2.0 and Allen is an upgrade to my current keepers Watkins and Crowder.

Um...Keenan Allen > Alvin Kamara, so if you're getting stuff on top I'd take that ASAP.

Curious why you feel this way. As a rookie Kamara outscored Allen by quite a bit in Allen’s best season to date. He did it at a position where it’s harder to acquire top talent and while sharing time with another top back. I love Allen so I guess you’re just not very high on Kamara?

Kamara's yards after the catch and TD percentage are insane. I think he'll be a very good RB, but definitely due for regression. Kamara's value right now is where Kareem Hunt's was after week 4. I don't think he's a must-sell or anything, but he would be a sell-high guy for me while he's worth 1.01+ to some.

i'd take that deal but i don't agree that K. Allen > Kamara. In a league that is more and more thin at elite RB talent, Kamara is very valuable. Also, just watching the guy play ball is an absolute joy. He is an Odell type talent that you want stock in early. With that said, Allen and Mixon would be enough to get it done for me. Although, I am very weary of Cincy and them bringing back their atrocious coach. Personally, I wouldn't want a piece of that offense and have historically passed on guys like AJG, Eifert, Gio for the same reason, and mostly glad that I have.
