Definition of 'Undefeated Season'

My buddy went undefeated in the regular season last year in our redraft/keeper league. He lost in the semi finals and took 3rd place. Yahoo is congratulating him on his undefeated season so he's running with it. I have always been a believer that if you go undefeated in a season you win the whole damn thing. The fantasy football season is comprised of the regular season AND the playoffs. Not just the regular season.

EH I mean it's a matter of personal interpretation, also of how you say it.

For instance, the patriots 18-1 season, people refer to it as an undefeated regular season. Notice the word regular thrown in. I'd call that an undefeated season, you didn't lose the entire season but playoffs come in at the end of the season to test what really matters.

I would refer to winning it all as a perfect season. The important note is that what you did in the regular season doesn't matter (unless there's a payout for that of course) what really matters is bringing home the 'ship. It's like people who convince themselves they were the better team but they lost the Super Bowl. It DOESNT MATTER if you were the better team, if you lost you lost.

Championships matter, and while undefeated regular seasons bring bragging rights, the winner of it all is what counts.
