Finished my only PPR redraft, how did I do?

Postby Buckhill Bombers » Fri Aug 18, 2017 7:16 am

12 team PPR, we start 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1 flex (wr/rb/te) Projected starters in bold. Did make a couple of small trades to move up in the 6th to take Henry for RB (a big run on RBs went around that time) I do a lot of dynasty so I may have drafted some young guns a little early (McCaffrey, Cook, Kamara, Godin) but felt each of them had good upside in a PPR. How would you guys rate this? Any recommendations to make better?

1.6 Beckham
2.7 Cooks
3.6 McCaffrey
4.7 D. Cook
5.6 Landry
6.7 Crowder
6.11 D. Henry
8.11 Hunter Henry
9.10 Mariota
10.7 Ebron
11.8 Kamara
12.5 Mike Wallace
13.6 L. Murray
14.7 Tyrod Taylor
15.6 Chris Godwin
16.7 Panthers D
17.6 Treadwell
18.7 Dion Lewis
19.6 Njoku
20.7 Gano

Don't take this the wrong way, but based on my personal preferences i don't like it. I'm not big on Cooks at all based on the amount of mouths in NE, and i'm very big against relying on rookies in starting positions right from the jump. Cook and CMC like shiny in PRP, but still have proven nothing in NFL games. Landry i used to be big on, but with his contract situation and Cutler liking the Parker types of WRs, i'm not buying anymore. Good QB value tho

no offense taken at all, that's why I posted. I agree, RBs are definitely the weakest link, although I do think McCaffrey and Cook will do very well even as rookies (but if they miss, I'm in big trouble, and even if they do well, I don't have much depth behind them)

Would anyone maybe try and trade Landry for a RB? Was thinking about going that route as I like Crowder just as much as Landry anyway.

I would definitely be looking for Plan B at running back. Moving Landry to someone that is still high on him is a smart move as it looks like he will take a hit on his production this year. I'd be looking for: Montgomery, Hyde, Lynch. I'd take any of them for Landry.

granted it was preseason and that means very little, but was nice seeing McCaffrey, Kamara, and Henry all score TDs and look great during last weekend's games
