Team Discussion

Postby TheDogPound » Sun Apr 30, 2017 7:50 pm

I wanted to post my keeper selections and get a conversation going on how I should be feeling about my team.

Should I be high on my team? How should I feel about the listed players? What specific areas could I improve upon?

Is Latavius Murray even worth keeping? What should I expect from Cam and Dez? What should I target with the 1.09 pick in this upcoming draft?

All general conversations, thoughts, and opinions would be GREAT!

Cam
AB
Dez
Eifert
Ajayi
Latavius Murray
Kelvin Benjamin
Paul Perkins/JMatt (Who should be the choice and why?)

Who are your other options to keep?

Unfortunately, this is the best of the bunch.

I have some IDP players who are solid but nothing else worth mentioning on the offensive end.

Not sure how many you can keep or the details surrounding keepers or lineups in your league.
However, I would rank them:
AB
Dez
Ajayi
Eifert
Cam
Benjamin
Matthews
Perkins
Murray

I like Matthews this year and think his value is starting to come down to earth with Alshon in Philly now. I think he will be a solid WR3 with upside in a high volume passing offense. Wentz is second all time for rookie passing attempts (behind Luck). He's a keeper now that he wont be the primary focus from the defense.

Perkins has a chance this year, but I don't think his window will be open for long. My money is on it being a RBBC on a bad run team.

As a Vikings fan, I want to like Murray here, but I just don't. The line will most likely be improved from last year (it will be) and I think he will take over short yardage and goal line duties. My take is that he will be used for some extra protection for Bradford, but will eventually be phased out in favor of Cook. I'll be watching this unfold during camp.

Thanks a lot!

I guess I should have mentioned that I can only keep 8 and those are my best 8/9.

So based on the ranking I should keep Murray instead of Perkins?????????

Murray is on the bottom of my rankings for you. He is basically on a one year "prove it" deal. In my opinion, he will be the change of pace or on a different team after this year.

Perkins still has a shot and is worth the 8th keeper in my opinion.

Just curious, who else is available for keepers on your team?

Wendall Smallwood
Dontrelle Inman
Coby Fleener (Yep I drunk this kool aid last year. Smh even traded Michael Thomas for him. Smh This is painful to type.)
Tyler Boyd
Brandon Lafell

Vic Beasley
Jamie
Ryan Shazier

I think those initial 9 are the best of the bunch.

Ok, looks like the rest are scraps then!

Paul Perkins was named the starting RB after the draft. Should be worth hanging onto considering the rest of your options.

I think you are in pretty good shape considering this is a 16team league. Your starting lineup would likely be decent in a 10 or 12 team redraft league.

I'd just go BPA in the draft. Good luck!
