Auction values?
Auction values?
Where can I find good sets of auction values, from a dynasty perspective? Did dome searching but struck out. Do they exist anywhere? Thanks!

Re: Auction values?
You basically have to find people who have done recent auctions and get links. I can provide you with a couple I've just done (pre-FA). Might not help due to differing league starting requirements, scoring, etc.Schmev22 wrote:Where can I find good sets of auction values, from a dynasty perspective? Did dome searching but struck out. Re: Auction values?
One thing you can do is use Yahoo or ESPN historical results to generate a percentile value for each draft position, then apply that to dynasty ADP. So if for example the 32nd most expensive player to be drafted is 26/200, then the 32nd ranked dynasty player should cost that much.
From there you can season to taste.

they can vary so much you might get yourself into trouble looking at them and when the draft starts and the prices all over the place you will get confused

Looks like something DLF ought to get into?

If you generate your own though, you can control the steepness of the curve, and create 3-4 value sets based on bidding values. Then in-draft, adjust to the model that fits the actual bidding.
