Gore in Philly...

Postby nation31 » Sun Mar 08, 2015 3:37 pm

How does this play out? Gore/Polk split and Sproles in same role as last season?

I am surprised Philly committed so much guaranteed money to him across a couple years.

I'm sure most of the guarantees are in the first year so it's more of a one year deal with team options for the next.

I can see Gore being the 1a and getting the lion's share of carries. I bet they add another back via draft or free agency yet.

Gore had a run to the Superbowl playing heavily in a read option attack. I'm feeling a push for Mariota.

Everything the Eagles do is pointing to Mariota. I see Gore getting the bulk of carries with Sproles in the sane role he had last year. Polk will be subbed in. Could do GL work like last year, but definitely will get some run WHEN Gore misses time.

To me; this is seeming like it is going to be a fantasy frustration. The Philly RB situation that is. RBBC.

For you Gore owners that thought you were going to have to let him retire on your roster......Now's your chance to sell and get something in return.

I think it's the best possible situation he could be in. I assume he'll get 10-15 efficient carries a game + goalline stuff, a few catches here and there.

Exactly! Now if Steven Jackson could just sign somewhere like DAL I'd be very happy :ugeek:

Me too! Now they each have a chance to be the #1 RB on their teams.
My roster:
QB: Roethlisberger, Maritoa and Mettenberger
RB: Zeke Elliott, Carlos Hyde, Frank Gore, Darren Sproles, Mike Davis and Alfred Morris
WR: Odell Beckham, Jr., Antonio Brown, Donte Moncrief and Cody Latimer
TE: Jordan Reed, Jimmy Graham and Antonio Gates
K: Chris Boswell and Dan Carpenter
D: Bengals and Jets

12 team PPR. Start QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, TE , K and D.

When? Gore doesn't miss time, like ever.

I agree. For some reason some people think he is injury prone. I guess because of his hip injury from several years ago? He's played in all 16 for 4 straight years. That's about as dependable as you can get.

As a Gore owner, I'm excited about him being in philly. I expect him to at least do what he did last year. He lost a lot of work to hyde last year, so even if he isn't a bellcow in Philly that isn't a big change.

I know they have sproles, but I wonder if philly will use Gore in the passing game. Gore was a monster when SF did ('06-'10). in fact, Gore's numbers have been pretty damned consistent from jump other than the fact that SF stopped throwing to him.
