Is there a public dlf league to follow?
Re: Is there a public dlf league to follow?
If the goal is to complete the startup before the NFL draft begins, I think there should be some sense of urgency.

I'm okay with a delay as my wedding is this Saturday, and getting some time to clear my head after months of prepping for that would be welcome. Having said that, my goal would also be to complete start-up prior to draft.

My first roll was a 272. 2nd was 924.

I think the second roll was for the "stay in the league" lottery.JFever wrote:My first roll was a 272. 2nd was 924.

Re: Is there a public dlf league to follow?
anybody still following the hof league? the premium league is underway....two 16 teamers...not really what we were looking to follow. its ok. my bet is that neither league will succeed, but which one do you want in?
just my opinion here.. but i think both leagues will be successful. the buy-ins are reasonable, which makes everyone a player!!! $100 gets you in for 5 years... i mean come on..if you cant build a reasonable team to play with in 5 years, you never will. i dont need a winner, or someone who trades a ton... we need owners who want to play the game. which makes eveyone of us interested in these leagues.
i cant wait for the late draft..thats the way its looking in the hof league. where does obj go within these owners? how bout Luck in a big league? is it going to be gurley, gordon, or white as the top guy?....i dont know. im taking cooper. how will the hof league draft play out??? now that the league is set?

Re: Is there a public dlf league to follow?
I'm positively having a blast in the DLFPL.
we've voted on a number of things and some important ones didn't go my way (roster size, drafting before FA) but the community there is making this such a tremendous experience that I don't even mind.
there's a great commissioner who probably deserves sainthood for taking on two public leagues that he isn't playing in.
the maiden draft is underway and we have a number of drafters from Europe and the middle east which has been a delightful experience as the action keeps going when you sleep bc they are waking.
I encourage anyone interested to follow along. people are posting their draft tbought processes as w go along and we greatly welcome criticism and comment!

Although we are just talking about which players would of been drafted had we known about the recent changes before we drafted. like Maclin, McCoy, Cobb etc.
So its not such a bad thing waiting to draft.

Seems like the 2 public leagues are off to a great start. 32 different owners, all active forum users, plus a good handful of observers that participate in discussions. Very exciting. I think next year we should definitely try to add in 12-team IDP league, and maybe a superflex league, based on the success of these two.
