20 Team 2 QB 2 TE Dynasty

Startup Dynasty. 20 Teams.
Starting Lineups (can vary rb wr mix, but 2 te, 2 rb, 2 wr required):
qb rb rb rb rb wr wr wr wr te te te
qb qb rb rb rb rb wr wr wr wr te te
qb qb rb rb wr wr wr wr wr te te te

So basically a 2 QB and 2 TE league with 20 teams! Very deep. Scoring favors QBs (6 PaTD).

1.05 Rice
2.16 Cutler
3.05 Nicks

Huge run on QBs early had me taking cutler in 2nd round (36th) overall, but then turned around and grabbed Nicks in 3rd (45th overall). I took Rice with 1.05. Anyone have any strategy for the remainder of the draft? Its very odd compared to my normal leagues. 15 of top 30 picks were QBs. I may be forced to take any starting QB in 4th just so I can fill out a 2 QB lineup most weeks. Thoughts?

QBs remaining after #45 overall: Freeman, Palmer, Flacco, Fitz, Smith, Bradford, Cassell, Flynn, Gabbert, Weeden, Locker, Kolb, Sanchez, Tannehill

you most likely should pounce on a QB as they are going to be hard to find/acquire later on..

I think you bonered your first pick by taking Rice instead of a Top 5 QB.

I would trade up right now and grab Locker or whoever else you like from that list. Then grab 2 more RBs asap. And then keep taking QBs whenever they fall nicely to you. Hoyer, Kaepernick, etc will have great trade value, and Palmer would make a good QB3.

WR and TE are really deep, you could get guys like Jordan Cameron, Housler, Clay right at the end.

Rodgers, Stafford, Brady, McCoy went 1-4. I was set to take Stafford at 5 but he was off the board. Who would you of taken?

You would be correct with this statement. I'm in the exact same type of league, but not the same league. QB's are extremely valuable, but at least you currently have Cutler. I would have taken Cam at 1.05

If there are any starting QB's left? If so draft them, also don't wait too long on TE's cause they are pretty scarce as well. The one position I would say that you can let wait is WR. Get as many starting QB's and RB's as you can, try to get 3 starting TE's, if not for sure get 2. His league will be playing with smaller rosters, so make sure not to waste too much space on backup QB's if starters at other positions are available.

1st of all I would never play in a league where there are more positional requirements than available players ........ what is the point in that 1/2 the league is automatically uncompetitive - failing that course I would draft a ton of qbs maybe the 1st 4 rounds because - they would be like gold in trade value.

you dont have to play 2 QBs, so you dont waste a spot in the lineup. Lots of FLEX plays will outperform the very low end QBs.

i agree, i hate the league setup...but I am in 2 other leagues with most of the same guys and there is a lot of dead money. \

i have 28 picks to sit through, so not sure what will be there when I pick. RBs on board still: f. jackson, gore, r. bush, s. greene, helu, beanie, mcgahee, stewart, spiller, hillis, david wilson, bjge, and few others in that range

this is easy to say, but its a 20 team league, so its hard to "grab 2 more RBs asap" AND trade up for Locker....

I'll be targeting a few backups late after i have my 2 starters.

i dont trust brees without payton....and he is already 33 yrs old.

i have doubts on newton replicating last year...but yeah he would of been an ok pick..

i rather draft cutler in late 2nd than eli at 1.05. I am happy with Rice/Cutler/Nicks being my foundation in a 20 team league.

thanks...yeah i dont play on taking another WR until I secure my 2nd starting QB, 2 starting TEs. I could not pass on Nicks at #45 overall. I am fine having my QB2 being a low tier guy like Weeden or Cassel.
