I'm really curious who'll have the best chances in SD when Mathews gets injured. I like McClain, but the stuff he's said, and the moves the team has made, make me less optimistic he'll be given most of the carries. Not at all confident Brown is the one, and Baker is a rookie I didn't much of pre-draft. I think Battle might end up being the one with the 2nd most production.general mills wrote:If thats the case then I would mention McClain also then, look how SD used Tolbert. McClain has shown that he can produce if given the opportunities.Pikachu: BFF wrote:I like the Tanner idea.
Depends on whether you're looking for production or prospects. People tend to go for the upside chances and forget/excessively downgrade the vets-

I forgot about Charles Clay who's been mentioned. I like him, depending on his designation in your league he could either be a TE or a RB.
Re: Anyone have any deep running back sleepers to watch/add?
Was too lazy to re-read everything but I just was thinking about this and Michael Smith rb in T.B. came to mind. I realize now he is 3rd or even 4th on their roster but... stranger things have happened. Martin doesn't live up to expectations or gets dinged up, Blount doesn't relate well to new coaching staff.... then, I think, Michael Smith gets his shot.

Jeremiah Johnson. I've had him rostered in deep leagues for over a year now, just hoping he gets a shot in Denver or somewhere else. Rave reviews in camp from him last year, and good stuff this year as well.

Steve Slaton looks like he could possibly be salvaging his career. Don't really like him with the Dolphins, but another team may look to kick the tires on him if he becomes available.
12 team dynasty non-ppr, all TDs worth 6 pts, no deductions for TOs, 25 man roster.

Justin Forsett, Texans.
Re: Anyone have any deep running back sleepers to watch/add?
Does anyone like Tauren Poole? If D-Will or J-Stew leaves next summer, he could be the backup in 2013. (Or in my case, a handcuff to J-Stew.)
Re: Anyone have any deep running back sleepers to watch/add?
Ivory, Tanner and Slaton were mine. Or Taiwan Jones though he's probably handcuffed already, despite Goodson's signing.

If Charles gets banged up again, I think Cyrus Gray will be very intriguing.

How about any Colt RB not named Donald Brown? I'm guessing Delone Carter and the like are still available?

Hardesty was dropped in a bunch of my leagues, he looks like a viable handcuff though.
+1 on Mario Fannin. Eye-popping size/speed combo. Runningbacks who can run a 4.37 40 are rare birds; backs who can do it at 231 lbs are bald eagles with red white and blue feathers. I'm not sure he's a good football player, but that's a lot of football player that can move very fast.

Of the Colts RB's possibly Vick Ballard.
Re: Anyone have any deep running back sleepers to watch/add?
He won't be stealing LeSean McCoy's job any time soon, but I think Bryce Brown has the talent to be a starting running back in the NFL. If you have patience, perhaps he could pay off a few years down the road.
