Agree, in deep leagues he would be a nice add.

Interesting. Norv loves the check down to a RB on third down. It all depends on whether Norv plans to hand the full-time third down responsibilities to Mathews or not. McClain doesn't exactly seem like the kind of player to catch 50+ balls, but I suppose it is possible. I do agree that McClain's value lies in the health of Mathews, which is always dubious. I also wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Chargers draft a third down RB to replace Tolbert or function as as Sproles-type (?LaMichael James). McClain is okay to roster in deep leagues, just based on Tolbert's role in the Chargers offense.

I expect the Chargers to resign Tolbert or bring in another RB. If they don't do either, then McClain is probably worth a flier.
