In may i have my first rookie draft.
I have picks 2.08 / 3.01 / 3.08 / 3.09 / 4.08 / 4.09 / 5.08 / 5.09.
I have read that the 4th and 5th round picks are useless. Is that true ?
You don`t have to sign them the say.
I hope someone can help me with explaining the late rounds in the draft.
Thanks for the help!

Re: Rookie draft.
We would need to see your whole roster in a nice formatted way, such as any number of the signatures most posters here use.
And your scoring, but more importantly, any roster limits and such.
In general, the reason that 4th or 5th round picks are "worthless" is simply that the FF useful players entering the NFL in any given year are rarely if ever 48 or 60 players deep. By the time you are getting to those 4th or 5th round picks, you are typically better keeping players you had rostered the previous year, rather than cutting them to make room for NFL rooks who will most likely not make it through training camp. (<-certainly 5th rounders would qualify here...I usually think a typical draft holds 40 or so interesting prospects, but I dig deeper than a most...and even then, that only enough for 4 picks into the 4th round)

Re: Rookie draft.
The value of late round picks is determined by a number of factors which include league size, roster size, IDP usage, roster minimum and maximums, and taxi squads. Post more info about your league and users here will be able to give you advice.

Re: Rookie draft.
If it's IDP, they're not worthless; but in WCOFF, they pretty much are.

Re: Rookie draft.
Is this just a straight rookie draft or are FA's that have been dropped for the draft added in. That will make a difference as well
