Miami QB situation

Apologies if there is already a thread about this. Didn’t have much luck searching for this topic.

Now that Tanny is gone and Teddy resigned in NO, who is going to be the QB to own for 2019? One would assume they draft a QB day one or early day two, so that player would prob have the “long term upside”. However, they would probably be smart to not rush a rookie QB into that cluster. Is there a QB currently on the roster that is the place holder for said rookie? Or are they gonna grab a FA QB?

Depth chart currently reads:
Rudock/Falk/Oz/Fales

I guess Oz has the best chance to bridge the gap?

If they are serious about long term - and are believers in the QBs that will be in the 2020 draft (2 key ifs) then I would assume they'd sign a Bortles or a journeyman to a 1-2 year contract and pair with the guy(s) they like best from that depth chart. Or maybe they'll move up in the 2019 draft to try and acquire Haskins or Murray.

I hope they sign Bortles. Then maybe I could get a few more starts out of him in my superflex. Haha

Miami is one of the teams to avoid for fantasy.

I’m a Miami fan, sadly...

We are going for Fitzpatrick I think, I read that Kap is an option too but that Castro shirt may alienate the fanbase...we are definitely not going be taking a day one QB unless Haskins falls to 13, which doubtful. We are going to work on getting interior lineman and build the team from the inside out. Smart way to do it but we gotta be patient and expect some losing. Osweiler is definitely and option to help us go that route

It’s going be a tank for Tua...hopefully they commit, because they had a chance at “sucking for luck” and then won 4 games to finish the season and we ended up with Tannehill at the 1.08.

What I would love to do is trade for Rosen once the Cards take Murray. If they roll with Rosen, they would still probably lose a bunch of games this year and load up on the draft next year but at least start the clock already on the QB plan.

I have not read they are contenders for Rosen, but I did read that he’s available for a 2nd and Washington was interested. I’d love to take him for a 2nd with 3 years on his rookie contract.

While this may be true, I’m throwing darts at QBs on my waiver wire, hoping I can hit the starter and flip him on.

Miami would destroy Rosen. Dude already got beat up last season, physically and mentally, will get further psychological trauma when he gets cast aside for Murray, and them has to play with one of the worst squads across the board. Yes, there's always a chance that a QB goes through all that fire and becomes better and tougher for it, the same way iron turns to steel, bit I doubt Rosen is that guy.

Miami is going to start a QB to lead them to 0-16.
Then draft a QB 1st overall next year

a Dolphins fan buddy of mine thinks they're tanking for Tua as well. I suppose it makes sense. I think Grier would be a good choice for them and the Dolphins have met with him several times from what I've read. I think Grier is a solid QB option though and would hate to see them draft Tua next year if they pick Grier this year

Really tho this has Fitztragic written all over it to ensure their tank for Tua campaign. No supporting cast

This is so gonna backfire on Miami. FitzMagic only needs to show up for 4-6 games and there goes 1.01.

The AFC East is going to be either very interesting or very easy to predict this year.

I mean we can pretty much pencil in the Patriots for the Divisional title, but Miami went 4-2 last year in the division (and 3-7 against everyone else) & I am really curious to see if they can still win games against the Jets & Bills, both of whom have theoretically improved a lot.
