God always wins
I love me some Chris Godwin. I own him in a couple spots and I want more. The door is wide open and he is going to get all the snaps he can handle. Talent and situation have coalesced. Wr2 coming up. Buy high! Buy high!

Justin Watson too!!!

lol this thread title (you got me)
Anyway. Just hope Arians doesn't swoop for his old friend Smoke Brown. Brown would probably siphon even more targets from Evans/Godwin than Jackson did, since Brown is good at all three levels.

Smoke/draft pick or pass catching back pick. Either way Winston will have chemistry with Godwin and that'll be good. We'll see if it holds. His hype is too high for having a clear #1 ahead of him.
Not for the thread, but I'd like to see drafting Rodney Anderson late from his injury. Pass catching and a good running back.

Re: God always wins
Godwin has excellent long-term upside. It wouldn't be shocking if he puts up comparable or even better numbers than Evans over the next couple of years.
Re: God always wins
No, that would be shocking. Evans has had over 1,000 yards every season he’s played and last year had 1500+ yards and 8 TDS.TigerSharkP wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 7:13 am Godwin has excellent long-term upside. AJG is the only other recent receiver I can think of who started his career with 5x 1,000 yard seasons.
Godwin is a good number two and he benefits from Mike pulling extra coverage. Could he hit 1,000 yards next season. Sure he could, Jameis might throw 5,000. Is he going to have better numbers than Evans. Not a chance.

Re: God always wins
Looks like Brown went to the Bills so that's one less threat to Godwin

Re: God always wins
Some people are shocked more easily than others... We are all aware of Evan's stellar numbers in his first five years. He averages 8 TDs a year. in his age 22 season, Godwin put up 59 catches, 842 yards and 7 TDs. Godwin is two and a half years younger, and primed to excel in the slot, given the targets which are now up for grabs in the TB offense. Evans should garner most of the double coverage. While it might not be more likely than not that Godwin puts up comparable numbers, it certainly wouldn't be shocking to me. He has shown that he is very good young WR, and should only get better.Snake wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2019 9:31 amNo, that would be shocking.
