Damn, this team needs to draft or trade for a stud or at least some consistency. We can't tell the difference between WR1 and WR5 on this team..... How sad we fantasy players look..... :D
Every Jax WR truther has a built-in excuse for their guy not producing last year. The QB position was simply too poor to evaluate any WR fairly last season.
I actually think it's possible that one of Westbrook/Cole/Chark/Lee could emerge as a top WR for them. All equal, I'd bet on Westbrook, but for the price, I'd bet on Cole.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

I guess he is staying put? Haven't heard otherwise

I hope the Jags draft 3 more WRs this year and make it even more interesting to figure out who's going to be "the guy."

At least Foles & Flacco have pretty rings on their finger.

I think this will be a contract that teams look back on and laugh at. Never underestimate the power that a good scheme, coach/player relationships, and being comfortable in a certain city can do for a QB. Jacksonville doesn't have that.

Yup, we may be laughing. But, I hope they are not considering Foles as their franchise QB. My guess is they are going to spend a 1st or 2nd on a QB this year, or in 2020 at the latest.

Foles didn't get top starter money. He got "hold down the fort" money.

And if he holds down that fort for 2 years that is over 25 Million per year. That would put him in R. Wilson money at 8th. That seems a but more than hold down the fort money... Just sayin.... :D

If they stink this year, then he's the "bridge QB" for whoever they draft, Tyrod->Baker style.

If they're competent and compete, then that suits them due to the bill now coming due on all their defensive stars. The timeline and margin for error of defensively-built contenders is extremely short, so it makes sense.

I could see a 10 win season, and I could see Foles being a cheap bye-week fill-in in 2QB leagues.

Foles with a broken collarbone.

Luckily his contract suggests he'll at least have a shot at the starting job again - unless of course Minshaw goes all Warner on him.

I also feel bad for him. Although I feel worse for my 16 team 2QB league...where I panic bought Foles after Luck retired. I am not in the favor of the fantasy gods.
