I bleep all over Allen last year and I will continue to do so. He's not accurate and never will be. His time is limited. Rushing upside is great for fantasy though. Enjoy it while you can.

I think you are premature on your opinion on Allen. Even a fine wine isn't great if opened too early. Need some time to age... WE ALL knew he was raw. The stats you use to make your stance were pretty much expected given the cast and crew he had around him don't ya think? I mean expecting much more out of him doesn't even seem reasonable if you look at Buffalo's offense as a unit. Digging your heals in too early in this case I'm thinking will be costly. Allen imo will be a top 3 qb from his class when we look back at this in a few years. I find that we are living in a time where patience and understanding of the impact of multiple variables is going out of style.
Its all instant gratification now, and frankly it disturbs me.

I dont have an opinion staunchly on one side or the other. But his WR core was pretty awful last year. I think someone like DK or Butler with their huge wing spans and top notch speed would fit well with Allen. Smaller fast guys maybe not so much since Allen isnt the most accurate QB.

Allen could flop sure. I for one don't like to make a habit of labeling a 20-21 year old a bust. Particularly one that has several major physical gifts that set him apart from his peers. I also try to avoid making a habit of over analyzing small sample sizes of data or using too much NCAA production to formulate a concrete opinion. This is even more true when it comes to positions like Qb and Te that take a bit of time and also depend on scheme, situation, and supporting /surrounding cast. It's like reading parts of the cliff notes on a novel and thinking you are an expert on the thesis of the text. You are welcome to have your opinion Jason, as we all are, but, I think it is inherently flawed in that you seem to have your mind made up with VERY little meaningful amounts of data to support your stance. That, and it (your stance) seems to conveniently incorporate the negatives that support your narrative, while simultaneously ignoring the obvious cause / effect of the situation. Seems to me, you are more experienced than that as many of your takes are very insightful and well thought out.

For what it's worth, I obviously think he is a far better fantasy player at this juncture than real life, but do agree with your take(s) Fever. They signed a ton of lineman and some decent (not spectacular) pass catchers. Guessing they draft a WR and/or TE in the 2nd to 3rd rd too. I'm with Jason on the Josh Allen assessment. Judging based on rookie year only is premature, but he also showed poor accuracy and general QB ability for 3 years in college as well. That is a strong trend that doesn't look to change. His rushing stats and draft capital may keep him fantasy relevant for a while, but eventually his poor QB play will be his downfall.
