I still think he has a few good years of elite play left. Who know about the retiring thing. He's still in his physical prime, and medical treatment has never been better.
Good to hear, I might be getting Gurley or zeke and just wanted to see if this is major cause for concern if the owner does end up saying he would rather let go of Gurley.
I really don't know, but at his age and with modern medicine, I think he's still a top Dynasty option. Most people expected him to get treatment this off-season on his knee.

It's been alleged to have been what was bothering him during the playoffs.

Good to know. This should give pause when people talk about players like Guice, saying ACL's aren't a big deal anymore.

I offered up one of my few CJA shares to the Gurley owner for a 2020 3rd - declined.
That's because Gurley owners don't want to accept reality, not because it was a bad offer. I would keep CJA over a 3rd.
You were the guy chanting that he wasn't injured. Maybe you should accept reality, dude.

He isn’t injured. There’s no injury, as confirmed by every single person involved in the situation many times over. He’s wearing down, as every back with his extreme usage does. If it is indeed arthritis it isn’t an injury but a condition that isn’t currently curable, but it can be treated. Stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy, can help reduce inflammation and some believe even regrow tissue. But it usually, at best, merely slows further degradation. It will likely flare up under any circumstances of heavy usage from here on out, as it did towards the end of this last season.

Sony Michel has arthritis, too. I'd expect Gurley's usage to decline, but he's still a top RB.

Arthritis is a broad term. Sounds like Gurleys is osteoarthritis given the potential stem cell treatment.

Cartilage on the surfaces of his knee is worn or damaged to the point where his knee is swelling up and painful. Cartilage doesn’t repair itself and the wear and tear of a NFL RB would progress it pretty quickly I’d think.

It's time to sell Gurley. His trade value cannot go up at this point, get out while you can, and move on.

I'd be glad to buy at a discount. I'm not wanting him on my team to trade him. I want fantasy points in my lineup. Unless your getting top value, there's no reason to sell. Keep the elite talent, even if it means he doesn't play into his 30's. Or maybe sell him for Damien Williams, IDK.
