All-time? Probably AB at WR, Arian Foster at RB, Russell Wilson at QB, and Travis Kelce (because he got injured for his entire rookie year he was sitting on waivers) at TE.

Must be a shallow league to have Chubb on waivers...

This is kind of a funny brag thread, because every league is different and values can fluctuate wildly... but this right here is what the OP should be taking away from this at the core of things, and what playing the wire is all about. You're looking for those additional pieces that become throw-in's on deals for studs... you roll three pieces into one, then use your newfound roster space to... do it all again. 8-)

I'd be remiss if I didn't use this chance to trumpet, though! I had a good year panning for waiver gold in my 10 team SF...

Ekeler - got him for FAAB, gave me RB3 production all year
MVS + Tre'Quan - turned them into the 1.07 this offseason (I'm loaded at WR)
Marlon Mack - dropped by a contender, became part of a deadline trade for Tyreek (Mack, Woods, 2019 1st, 2nd, 3rd)
Kenny Stills - sold him before week 1 to a "contender" for the 2019 2nd I sent above

Current holds that I found for free on the WW and will enjoy selling/starting/dropping at some point: Nick Foles, Zay Jones, Jaylen Samuels, Jamison Crowder, Josh Gordon, Elijah McGuire... you can always find someone with "you never know" or "I still believe!" potential to fill out a roster spot.

Best all time for me was A. Foster before he went off. I also picked him in a Redraft late round 1 in a BML 14 team league. A few laughed and said who? Went undefeated and won that year.

Best last year was spending 100% of blind bid money on Lindsay.

I would say picking up Phil Lindsay on WW pretty soon after our rookie draft. That’s the one that comes to mind most recently.

Just like everyone else I've had my moments. The most recent success stories in various leagues for me are probably the most often named so far in this thread:

Thielen
Kittle (who I sold way too cheap in every league after the first signs of sucess, thinking I'd much rather cash out than have yet another mid tier te on my roster... sigh)
Williams (which won me the DFL premium league)
Lindsay
White

And in one 12 team 1QB league where his owner was stacked at QB and decided to drop him for a rb prospect/handcuff week 10 or 11 his rookie year:

Mahomes

Robert Woods is probably the biggest "hit" I've ever personally gotten in dynasty. Used him in a trade to acquire Rodgers and Michael Thomas for team 2 in my sig.

The biggest hit I've ever seen was in my first year of dynasty and the entire league was made up of dynasty noobs. Some rookie named Odell Beckham Jr. got dropped after the startup draft, picked up in week 2 by another team, then dropped and picked back up by the original team in week 4. Then came the breakout...such an opportunity wasted.

I'd say this was my best move so far. Owner dropped him right before the bye week and I grabbed him not even expecting this outcome. Besides that move, I'd say picking Kittle up the week Jimmy G got traded to SF for me.
