PSA: Don't let the fever infect you early, and don't spend a ton for a top pick. There simply isn't an A+ type of RB (Zeke, Barkely, Gurley, Gordon) prospect here - but there are quite a few B, B-, C+ types.

Let's put it this way. If these guys were in last yrs draft, I prob would of taken all the top 8 RBs ahead of anyone from 2019 (Barkley, Guice, Michel, Chubb, Kerryon, Rojo, Freeman, Penny). But I would of taken about 10-12 RBs from this class ahead of the Ballage/Hines types from 2018.

With the luxury of hindsight we can take out: Rojo, Freeman...and maybe Penny, but I'd still easily take those 5 RBs from 2018 (Barkely, Guice, Chubb, Michel, and Kerryon) above every RB from 2019.

Not trying to rain on the parade, just attempting to add some perspective to this RB class.
I was never a fan of either Freeman or Rojo so I’d rank Montgomery and Harris over them for sure. I think they are about = with Michel who I thought was a highly overrated prospect. He’s looked solid tho so maybe it’s just because I’m a skeptic
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

Right now, I'd be pretty surprised if Holyfield finishes above a lot of RB's, especially Jacobs.

Jacobs
Montgomery
Harris
Henderson
Anderson

would be my 5 right now.

There are still some Jaelen Strong's and Ronald Jones' getting hype but this is going to be a pretty deep class. 3rd round will be a gold mine.

As suspected, some RB's coming to the forefront now making this class a lot better looking than all the nay sayers had said. Jacob, Holyfield, Sanders all declaring makes your 2019 pick look a lot better.

I thought that about Melvin Gordon after seeing this picture

I really thought about trading him before the season started last year because of it. Thankfully I didn't. I have faith in those lil legs lol

I've focused most of my tape and research on mostly WR's ( team need in most leagues) this year but after spending a lot of time the past few nights watching tape on the Rb's I can say that Holyfield is my new #1 and I would take him over my Wr need when I'm on the clock. He looks explosive and strong running downhill. He can also be shifty and agile on cuts. I was a big Montgomery guy as the #1 RB but after watching some gamescript I rank the following now:

1. Holyfield
2. Jacobs
3. Montgomery
4. Sanders
5. Harris.

Here's to hoping my league-mates buy the WR hype and let some of these RB's fall down in the draft.
Team 1 - Super Kamario Bros (12 Team - PPR) ( QB -1 , RB -2 , WR - 2, Te -1, FLX - 1, SuperFLX - 1, DP - 2, K- 1)
QB -Wentz, Newton, Ryan, Haskins (R)
RB -Zeke, Kamara, Drake, Ballage; Thompson, Ajayi
WR - D Hopkins, Julio, A. Miller, Coutee, AJ Brown (R) , Marvin Jones, Mclaurin (R),
Te -Delanie, Ebron, Oliver (R)
2020:3, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5
_____________________________________________________________________________________
Kerryon Luggage (12 Team - 2TE PPR) ( QB -1 , RB -2 , WR - 2, Te -2, FLX - 1, SuperFLX - 1, DP - 2, K- 1)
QB - Jimmy G, Josh Allen, Mariota
RB - Kerryon, Jamaal Will, Drake, Ballage, Miles Sanders (R), Justice Hill (R), Myles Gaskins (R)
Wr - Micheal Thomas, Zay Jones, Curtis Samuel, Crowder, Coutee, Aj Brown (R), Marquise Brown (R), Keesean Johnson (R), Kelvin Harmon (R)
Te- Engram, Oj Howard, Josh Oliver (R)
2020: 3,3,3, 5

Good on you for bumping this - a bit surprising that there is so much more discussion on lukkys other thread - its probably more important this year to find the right RBs to target.

I don't even think I know 5 RB in this class lol probably why the WR has more discussion; there's just more of them. However, I agree... Getting the RB right this year is crucial

Rodney Anderson, Devin Singletary, and Justice Hill are just on the outside looking in.

As always landing spot will be critical.
There isn't the elite, surefire #1 like Zeke or Barkely, or even a load of 220+ backs in this class, but i think it could be a sneaky good one.

Those top 6 landing spots would offer potential future RB1 situations for those guys. Also in great spots would be Snell to NYJ, Anderson to Bal, and Sanders to Pitt. This draft class of RBs doesn’t have a Saquon but it has plenty of guys in the next tier with a bunch of teams with really desirable RB situations looking to draft one in the 2-4 rounds and beyond. I really like late 1st to mid 2nd dynasty rookie picks because of that, where RBs like Singletary, Henderson, Anderson, Sanders may still be available despite landing in solid situations and being marginally, if any, less talented than the Jacobs and Montgomery’s of this class
Team 1
10 team .5 PPR, 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1Flex

QB: Brees, Cousins
RB: McCaffery, Guice, D Williams, Breida, Drake, Penny, S Ware, R Jones, J Adams, I Smith
WR: A Brown, Jeffery, Robinson, Ridley, Pettis, Miller, Shepard, Callaway, MVS, Washington
TE: Kelce, Herndon

Picks:
2019 1.10, 2.10, 3.10, 4.10
2020 1, 2, 3, 4

Yes i have to agree that there are some intriguing landing spots in that mock. Going to be fun these next few months seeing all the mocks - especially as we know they are rarely that accurate.
