I'm wondering how you account for Riley Ridley's limited production. I'm just looking at his stats and it seems he played in most games but has really underwhelming stats?

I don't have a counter for that, but I do trust my eyes when it comes to Ridley. He looks like a pro-ready stud out there. Bigger and more dynamic than his brother, he's like a shorter Kenny Golladay. Big, strong, great leaper with a wingspan, and a nose for the end-zone.

Hey Lukky! Always appreciate your scouting report on these sorts of things, you always bring another angle to the table. For these two in particular, I know PFF is super high on them per there grading (it may have changed but I believe they are the #1 and #2's for them in this draft based on their rankings).

I'm just interested to know how you felt about each player and how they slipped so far down over guys like Riley Ridley and so on.

AJ Brown is fine, but I don't see the same ceiling with him that I see in guys like Harmon or Harry (potential alpha WR1s). AJ looks like a big slot chain-mover, a la Mo Sanu.

Arcega-Whiteside doesn't do it for me at all really. He looks like every other big-but-not-very-athletic WR in college. Auden Tate, Allen Lazard, etc. I suppose there's a chance he can be Devin Funchess?

Ridley's red flags are too big for me production wise. Yes he had the most rec yards on his team, but he didn't demand enough of a target share to show me that he can be anything more than a teams 3rd WR (maybe RZ guy...maybe) in the NFL.

Mid 2nd (but prob more like late 2nd) at best for me.

Metcalf and Ridley would be outside my top 10. Neither of them had a receiving yard market share above 20% in any season they played. The list of successful NFL receivers who have that poor of production is close to 0

I think they will be high picks as I have already seen many NFL teams are high on Ridley but in his case for me I'm worried his career will be uninspiring more than metcalfs as I actually like Metcalf a lot but injuries make me nervous but I believe he had some injury as enunwa but not as severe...maybe I'm mistaken...I believe he will be fine

I think some of this debate is analytics vs film at its best. I think seeing the players and trusting your eyes is worth more than analytics, but just my opinion. I’ve watch Metcalf and I see a better route running c-patt but yes injuries do matter. This is also about how risk adverse are you, if you are willing to take a risk you could get the next Josh Gordon athletically. That is why Metcalf is my 1.2 right now.

This is where i think I've landed as well. Something about Metcalf triggers the Perriman-induced PTSD in me.

It is always nice to wonder about what could have been with names like Perriman, White & Devin Smith - highly touted guys whose careers were immediately beset with injuries. Unfortunately the odds are high at least a couple of guys on lukkys list will fall victim to that as well.
