Parker's option picked up. Surprising?

Not really. After letting Jarvis go I figured they wouldn't want to lose both their top WRs in consecutive seasons. Also, if he finally does perform well, they won't have to do a huge contract right off the bat. Conversely, they can still cut him after this year unless he has a bad injury. They are just protecting themselves from a having even fewer options after this year.
16 Team PPR 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 TE - 1 Flex
QB- R.Wilson, B. Mayfield
RB- D. Cook, Zeke, J. Jacobs, J. McKinnon, A. Collins, I. Smith, B. Hill, R. Armstead, M. Boone
WR- J. Smith-Schuster, T. Boyd, C. Sutton, M. Brown, H. Ruggs, S. Miller
TE- G. Kittle, Enron, C. Herndon

Yeah 5th year options are only guaranteed by injury, so no surprise.

I'll put ceiling at 1000 yards, 5TDs, and 77 receptions. Floor at 700 yards, 1 TD, and 59 receptions.

What I think his statline will be if he plays all 16 games? 845 yards, 3 TDs, and 65 receptions.

Devante Parker Landing spots

Postby Prison_Mike » Wed Jan 16, 2019 6:51 pm

It seems like Parker has been forgotten about;
I rarely hear his name brought up, probably because his career has been underwhelming to say the least.

But he’s still very young and will be on the market.

What teams do you guys think would be a good fit where he could reach his potential?

EDIT:
He is technically signed through 2019 but I’ve seen numerous reports that the Dolphins are likely to cut him this off-season

He's still a dolphin for a year right? I think they picked up his 5th year. I've always loved the talent, but he just can't put it together. Whether it's health or mental I don't know...

I really don't see Parker reaching his potential anywhere. He just hasn't improved in any area as a football player despite being given the opportunity to be a team's WR1.

You’re right, he’s still signed through next season.

Sorry should have mentioned: I have seen numerous reports that the dolphins are expected to cut him this offseason

Whatever hype you see, don't buy it.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

Which means if the Patriots do not make any sort of move to acquire Parker, either via trade or via FA when Parker becomes a FA that they do not consider him a viable reclamation project. 8-)
