CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
Because CJA>Gurley and Gurley was exposed as a system back.

Exactly....but all jokes aside Gurley spent a lot of time on the sideline and no injury reported. No way am I saying he is going to replace Gurley al all! But seems odd that Gurley could be that easily swapped for a hot hand. Very odd indeed. I think this situation will increase CJ chance of landing a decent gig next year. Now if he can do anything with it is another thing.

I love CJA, but he's never going to be a clear-cut starting RB in the NFL again. If you can sell for value, do it.

As a Gurley owner, I'm hoping the Rams let Brown go and bring CJA back. If not, I'll deal for whatever i can get.darewood11 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 20, 2019 5:00 pmThat's the key...sell. let the hype build and when hes signed sell. Definitely worth owning right now tho. Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
Hard to see him having a ton of value; but he should get short yardage and goal line work.
Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
Looks like Detroit just found the newest piece of their 7 headed, Fantasy value draining, RB attack. Yeldon is still available though, and we can’t rule out the drafts. Also need to give Theo Riddick a couple of rushes for no gain each game to keep defenses honest

Man, lions becoming the next Patriots and Seahawks as a backfield I will never ever touch. Overuse Blount when KJ looks fantastic. Then sign themselves a new (better) Blount

Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
I have a lot of respect for CJA. His signing should definitely cap KJ to no more than 20 touches a week. Front-offices seem to have been wringing their hands over Anderson's perceived fitness level, but he has never failed to be productive whenever a team has given him touches.
Also further demonstrates that the Lions are very unlikely to draft an RB with any sort of decent pick. They have four RBs under contract now, including two signed just this offseason.
The sky obviously isn't falling for KJ owners, though. For comparison, they gave Zenner a two year contract early in the offseaon, and now CJA here only has a one year deal. Everyone agrees Zenner was signed to be a backup, so CJA's even less committed deal a month after free-agency started implies they're not exactly planning on CJA being a major contributor.

Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
I agree with this. It had already been reported that the Lions were wanting to limit his touches, so expectations should’ve already been tempered. Personally, I own him in three leagues and really like him but as long as someone is not counting on him to be their RB1, which I’m not, I don’t think this changes much.ninotoreS wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2019 4:58 pm I have a lot of respect for CJA. Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
None of KJ's dynasty owners should want him to get 300 carries a year. That sort of usage would probably wear him down in three or so seasons, and he'd be washed up by age 28 or sooner.
An average of 15 carries a week would be ideal. It's a major spike in passing-game usage I'm hoping for with KJ, this year or next. I'll happily take 15 carries with 10 targets over 25 carries and 5 targets. With his arm-length and catch-radius, vert, and basketball caliber ball-skills, KJ has the tools to be one of the best RB receivers in football.
We're probably gonna see Kamara type usage become increasingly vogue with NFL RBs.
