I take it back -- CJA has put on some weight.
He's not Bettis level -- no one is/was -- but I can see where the OP is coming from, now.

I noticed that too and wondered if it was the Rams uniform / colors making him look so big. Gotta admit though, CJ had some darn quick feet tip toeing thru the defense. Seemed like pretty much the whole game. Fresh legs?

I hope he ends up as the cheap replacement for Ingram in NO.

Did a photo search. Looks like you're right; Bettis doesn't look fat as a Ram, just... wide.ericanadian wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 5:47 pm I don’t know that I’d say that Jerome Bettis’ belly sagged over his belt when he got the nickname. He got it in college and he wasn’t exactly fat when he played for the Rams, just big.

I'm happy for CJ, but, I find it unlikely that he ever is named a starter anywhere in the NFL again - Despite what he's done these past couple games.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 11:15 pm He's getting a gig somewhere next year. He might even start again after the run he's had lately.

Now that I think about it, that's probably his best case scenario. I don't think he's lead back material, but he's not a 3rd down back either. Change of pace with a Kamara type is perfect for him. I don't think it brings a ton of fantasy value, but probably good as a flex or RB2 through bye weeks, like Ingram.Orenthal Shames wrote: ↑Sun Jan 13, 2019 9:41 pm I hope he ends up as the cheap replacement for Ingram in NO.
Re: CJAnderson looks like Jerome Bettis
I think I'll let CJ Anderson be someone else's thing to deal with. At this point in his career, he is a JAG. Yes, you could roster him, and sure, he could provide some depth down the stretch depending upon where he goes. But... I think it'll be tough to determine when he will be used and when he'll be productive enough for fantasy useage. Better real life NFL depth asset than fantasy at this point imo.

Ending up in Oakland alongside Richard would also be a pretty solid fit for him, though it would probably hurt his fantasy prospects playing as an early down back on a team that will be behind most of the time.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:21 amNow that I think about it, that's probably his best case scenario. Staying put in LA or going to KC as a cheap addition wouldn't be too bad either.ericanadian wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 6:06 pmEnding up in Oakland alongside Richard would also be a pretty solid fit for him, though it would probably hurt his fantasy prospects playing as an early down back on a team that will be behind most of the time.Jigga94 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 11:21 amNow that I think about it, that's probably his best case scenario. His usage in this game is odd...
