2019 Bad Trade Offers

Does this bother you guys that much? I mean I’ll take a “bad offer” any day over the owner that never sends anything and relies on you to make the offers. Think of them less as “bad offers” and more as “conversation starters”. Getting upset or insulted by someone actually taking time to send something over is being pretty thin skinned. Just get over them “feelings” or emotions or whatever it is, and try to find a deal that does work. Or clam up, get pissed, and miss out on a possible trade. That’s an option too I guess.

I generally agree with you, but save for a few people on here, I think most are just showing the bad offers off. Not sure what it helps. Maybe seeing what players are of most and least interest to people?

I also think it's a good way to start conversation, but usually when it is this far off, the deal never goes anywhere. Especially in the case above with the guy wanting Gordon AND Cooks. Wanting the best 2 pieces but only willing to part with depth and aging players is a sign that there's no reasonable deal to be had. Maybe not ALL time, but mostly

I think it's just another way to see trades. Should people post bad offers that are going to be rejected in their own treads? I just personally like to see as many trade offers on here as I can to get an idea, in my mind, of the kind of offers that are good, bad, or a piece or two away. I'm not posting to complain, but mainly to get validation that a trade off I thought was bad, really was bad.

I don't think the offer was a deal I'd do for Barkley either. Not even close to an insulting offer though. Fournette is injury prone, Tarik a bit hit or miss and Mayfield nothing outstanding in a 1 QB but all are startable talents. Especially if it's a PPR then Cohen goes way up.

Not enough but far from terrible.

Nah I'm done with this thread. If thats the Barkley price I would highly recommend everyone go make that offer and come back and tell everyone what happened.

FWIW, it's a 32 team league, so the pick is actually a first-rounder there.

Double player copy? IDP? Often those leagues are, and if so and it is converted to the #13 pick, the value changes significantly. Not saying accept worthy, but just curious.

The settings are single player and IDP, but IDP scoring settings are rather low in that league (the top 2018 IDP was the #39 scoring player overall) so it's very unlikely I would find a significant upgrade over my current IDP starters at #26. Also, my team is already very strong at most positions and set up to contend for years to come, so I see no reason in this offer. However, the other owner is rather new in the league, so I guess he's just kicking the tires.

Yes it is an atrocious offer. Look in sig. 1 QB league. Fournette is a hot potato who I dont want to get stuck with. Cohen is a 180 scat back that gets game scripted out or forgotten about.

And thats close to a 225 lb version of Barry Sanders? Cmon you guys cant be serious? Unless you're the ones who send trash offers like this too

im a pretty big LF guy and i will even say this is a laughable offer. shoe on the other foot you guys would never even consider parting with barkley for LF a qb and a small scat back highly elevated by TDs

Hey man I'm trying to get a stud without giving up a stud myself. I don't want to give up a starter either. I think if you combine both of those players points (for their entire career) it is equal to what Tyreek did this year. Doubt he ever does it again. I bet Corey Davis is the next Tyreek next year. Tyreek has to regress some too. I'm so high on Davis and low on Tyreek, you'd be making MY team worse. I just wanna help YOU get that 3peat.

I feel like Gronkowski owners are trying to sell above his current pay grade, which to any non-owner is mostly a hands off commodity. Not great (for Gronkowski) statistical season, retirement talk, seeing far less targets as the year has gone on...it is just a terrible time to buy, but owners are offering like nothing’s happening. That just me or are people still feeling him?

Well here we go again. There is one guy in my league that sends stuff like this all the time. I don't know if I just decline, try to show him that it's completely a horrible offer, or just counter with a totally lopsided trade in my favor.
