ROOKIE RB's (2019)
Which of the Running Backs in this class are you guys excited about (based on talent alone - obviously can't evaluate situation yet)
Do you see any of them becoming a legitimate RB1?
I haven't watched a ton of tape yet.
From what I've seen so far, I'm excited about Montgomery & Holyfield (and Harris to a lesser degree); hoping one of them falls to me at 1.08
What do you guys think?

Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)
Very excited by James Williams. For a back to finish his college career with 202 catches is unheard of. He highpoints the ball like a WR and has very soft hands and good contact balance. Hoping for a good landing spot sometime in day 2, as he's got decent enough size to compliment a game that is a good match to the current NFL. Could be a PPR stud in a good situation.
Darrell Henderson, too. For a back to get 344 carries the last 2 seasons (a lot), and to still average nearly 9 yards per carry in any Div I conference is very impressive. Per PFF 1321 of his 1909 rushing yards came after contact, and he has been used at Memphis in the passing game enough to make me feel good about that aspect of his game in the pros.

Hoping Henderson, Anderson, or Sanders fall to me at 1.10.
If you watched Henderson he jumped off the screen at Memphis, and his closest comp is Hunt.

Yep, Sanders and Henderson would be the next 2 on my list (Jacobs up there well if he declares)Elroypedro wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:24 am Hoping Henderson, Anderson, or Sanders fall to me at 1.10.

I think there's a pretty decent chance they fall that far with all the WRs.
A guy in my league is selling his 1.07; I'm considering throwing Anthony Miller out there to see if he's interested.
1.07 & 1.08 would be a pretty good place to be.
Either that or I might try to trade my 1.08 to my buddy for his 2020 1st (I'm thinking it would be early 1st) cause I really want Swift

These are his projected starters (12-team, PPR, 1QB) :
QB: Wilson
RB: Conner, A. Jones
WR: Antonio Brown, Woods, Edleman
Flex: J. White, Lockett
TE: Engram
Definitely not the worst roster in the league but there seem to be some question marks.
Tough to evaluate though - most teams are fairly even since we just did our startup
Trade for his 2020?

I wouldn't that seems more like a mid 1st than an early one, pretty good RBs a top QB, upside TE and then decent WRs. Very little depth to speak of though
Another team that has shown interest in my 2019 1st (maybe I could get him to give me his '20 1st for it) :
QB: Cam
RB: Zeke, Bell, (also drafted Hunt)
WR: Boyd, Cupp, Humphries
TE: Jarwin/Eifert?
Flex: Samuel, McGuire

If Josh Jacobs comes out from Bama he might be my RB1.

Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)
If we took away the injuries from R. Anderson would he be the consensus rb1? I'm curious as I'm not a huge fan of the RBS coming out and love to take punts on red flag players with the perceived higher talent level.

Yes, injuries aside, Rodney would be my RB1 and 1.01. Until draft time at least, but the injuries are real and that knocks him down to a mid first for me, at best right now.

Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)
Haven't watched any tape on them, but I'm keen to start checking out Holyfield & Jacobs. Holyfield looks like a beast physically, and has been called out in a number of other threads. Similarly Jacobs - despite limited touches he's been called the best 'Bama back on some threads (and the next coming of C-Mike on others) so potential there. Never been a fan of Damien Harris as a prospect though.

Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)
Rodney Anderson was my RB1 for this class this time last year, but he's firmly in the 2nd round now due to his injury risk. If he falls to the end of the second, I'm doing whatever I can to grab him

Re: ROOKIE RB's (2019)
The end of the 2nd of the NFL draft or of fantasy drafts?
There is no chance he's around at the end of the 2nd of fantasy rookie drafts. If he lands in a decent spot he'll probably go mid-1st.
