Noah Fant rookie draft value / must start 2 TE league

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Noah Fant rookie draft value / must start 2 TE league

Postby SkinZ187 » Sun Jan 06, 2019 2:02 pm

I know its early to have this discussion, but knowing what we know right now, where would you slot Fant in a 10 team, PPR, MUST START 2 TE league?

would he be a top 5 pick in this upcoming rookie draft?

Reason i ask, is im being offered a couple of packages for my 1.08 (id be targeting Fant with the 1.08, and i think he'd be there)

packages im being offered are:

Sammy + pick #13 for my 1.08
OR
Marlon Mack + #13 for my 1.08

Please feel free to comment on the packages being offered!

I didnt know whether to post this in advice forum, or discussion forum --- i posted it here because im more interested in discussion on fant, more than i am looking for the advice on the trade packages im being offered

I don't think he would last until 1.08 in a 2TE league

I’d consider taking him in the late first in a 1 TE league, so I don’t think there’s any way he lasts until the 1.08 in your league.

He probably goes around where Gesicki was taken last year.

In a 2 TE, no way Fant lasts to 1.08. Especially considering the lack of top tier prospects elsewhere.

Marlon Mack and 2.03 for 1.08 is good value though for you. Especially in 10 team. You're only moving down 5 spots for a starting RB.

Fant could arguably be a top 5 pick in 1te so any kind of te premium or 2 te he will most certainly be gone and I could see hockenson being right with him. Tj is a stud and shouldnt be overlooked either.

This assessment is very early days and I haven't even come close to fully studying both players, but right now, for me, Hock > Fant as a pro prospect.

This. There is no way he’ll make it to you at 1.08.

Live 20 miles from hockensons home town...and I agree I think hes equal to fant at the least and iowa uses te the way pros like. Have turned out some great tes from this exact system. I have a few 1.05 picks and will take fant with a couple if hes there and hock to maybe if he commits. Which I expect he will.

Mack and 2.03 for 1.08 is a great offer.

Agreed. Mack is worth a top 3 pick for me.

Mack or Sammy and #13 is great value for #8. I would just make a deal with one of those offers
I'd be a little more inclined to take Watkins.

Mack looked good but there are some FA RB's (Bell/Ingram come to mind) that could steal Macks lunch money pretty easily

I don't think Ingram is a better RB than Mack at this point. Bell is the bigger worry.
