Couldn’t agree more. I wasn’t taking him with crazy expectations. Theres A LOT of upside but I’m not really relying on him to reach it. But like you said, of the RBs that we’re available at the time, he seemed like the obvious choice given the others’ injury history and/or limitations

If you're drafting him with the expectation that he's going to be "the guy" then you'll be disappointed. But, at the very least they gave him a new contract and he's the clear-cut passing down back (even when Ware was in the lineup). That's a pretty valuable role to have in one of the league's top offenses. Sure, maybe they draft a rookie and immediately make him the three-down back, but we really won't know that until April.

I would take him over McCoy (turns 31 soon), Ajayi (too many injuries), Thompson (too many injuries), Duke Johnson (underutilized) and Dion Lewis (not that good) pretty easily.
Yeah I certainly don't anticipate that anyone grabbing him at 8.09 is expecting him to be "the guy". "The guy" in KC wouldn't make it past the 2nd round.

Like you said he's a decent dart throw. It's likely KC brings someone in but 8.09 isn't too much of a price to pay in the hopes that whomever they draft ends up getting Rojo'd or Penny'd.
