Vikings already re-hired Stefanski as their OC

Kubiak was hired as "Special adviser to the offense" or whatever the heck that means

They also gifted Kubiak's son the QB coach job which just rubs me the wrong way. Nepotism can kill a locker room dynamic. Guy has practically no experience, so at best Kirk Cousins just ignores him

Nepotism does suck. I agree there. But, until we find out a bit more, I doubt that Cousins will simply ignore NFL coaching. I see Cousins as a tad more of a professional than that. I wouldn't blindly dismiss any coaching as Sometimes a different perspective can be a good thing. Kubiak has a nice track record of putting together potent offenses and particularly running games. I'm assuming his influence will help to balance things out.

Most coaches get into coaching when they're in school. They are an athlete at some level and they decide to take coaching classes to be around the sport more. A son of a professional coach has been around longer/been learning some ins and outs of coaching for longer. He may or may not have the personality to make it work. He may or may not have the desire/push to make it work. But he likely has an edge on coaching experiences simply from hearing about it from his old man all through his life.
Nepotism is dumb and the NFL is like an exclusive club. Be part of the right family and you have "rights" to a leg up on opportunity for a killer job. He definitely is getting a leg up on the opportunity side because of his name, but this happens in many walks of life. It's now up to him to take advantage and show that he belongs.

Good ol nepotism. Its exactly why i did not choose to go into the family business and do my own thing, even if i rightfully earned my spot. Did not want that to even be a topic of discussion. It will be interesting to see how this place out next year, Kubiak has had some potent offenses in the past. Along with Houston....

Interestingly enough, not that it has much bearing, other than being like Klint Kubiak, Stefanski is part of a good family tree - his father is a former NBA player and is now an important exec with the Detroit Pistons.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Yep, played for the Sixers and was their GM for a few years before they started trusting the process.
